Yeah I've joined the HA-2 club ... surprisingly powerful and clean.

Never got on with over ears, it's personal preference. There will always be two camps and I have my butt placed firmly in the IEM camp and will not budge

BTW What's you setup with the HA-2 ? Are you using it as a USB dac or are you just using the amp stage ?
Tidal lossless and iPhone...amp and DAC...
Plug it into the PC for gaming...
It's nice having something portable but also sounds great gaming on PC...best of both worlds...
Tested the line out with my fiio e9, oppo just as dac...
The Oppo amp is far superior.
This HA-2 has gotta be up there with one of my best purchases of the last 5 years...
Its like having a a high end hifi in your pocket...I just love it!

Of course but you're comparing devices that are at least 2 leagues apart from each other.

Just posting my findings....I was happy with the E9 and xonar DX and HD 598...
But my new upgrade Ha-2 and HD 650 is something else!
I bought the Ha2 out of curiosity and quite frankly I'm gobsmacked...
Would love to try out the Chord mojo now lol

Yeah getting to the point of diminishing returns imho and don't forget that considering your age .... your hearing is now probably shot to notice the difference.
Best donate the gear to the kid or your grand children mate
TBH I'm considering handing my setup to the kids so they can enjoy it whilst their hearing lasts.

So so at the moment I haven't finalised the build because I haven't got a good seal with my recent purchase - XBA-A3 ... This is frustrating me as the XBA sounds ******* great
Fiio X3ii -> Oppo -> Sennies (Big bass kick, really beautiful in fact but the earphones let the setup down)
Overall I can feel the setup is a good leap up from previous but I've got these issues to iron out before I get to max potential.
