I am trying to eat a can of mixed fruit a day, apparently the vitamin C can be degraded during the canning process however but surely it has some benefits, so do have your duly 4 fruits a day, and is fruit juice(100%) concentrate good enough or, again, has it lost many of its key nutrients.

I try to, but unfortunately the fruit we get over here is extremely inconsistent and often nasty. Would eat a lot more fruit if it was consistently decent.

I've not been a healthy eater for a long long time, that included veg too. However, I have been trying to improve recently. I'm not at a daily level yet by far, only occasionally having any kind of fruit. I guess I could say maybe once a week at a push I will have some grapes or something.

Eating I Probably do 2-3 pieces a day, usually a couple of oranges and an apple. The wife has started juicing too with a nutrininja so that uses a couple of apples, strawberries, cherries etc so probably about 5-6 pieces a day. Then add in the green sludge thing she makes with veggies I'm easily doing my 5 a day..........

I do worry about food education in this country..

I'm not being funny but if I was worried about my fruit intake I wouldn't be looking to a tin of mixed fruit! Just buy some apples etc, jeez!

Bananas for the win, Oranges, Tangerines, Strawberries etc How can you Not eat them ?

lol yup, it is pretty worrying. A guy at work will every so often go buy an entire bag of apples (6) or most recently an entire bag of carrots and proceed to eat all of them. He says "it's because they're healthy, right?". Most days he'll have a microwave pizza or some other junk, a couple of those large cans of energy drinks and quite often one of those 500ml of Ben & Jerry's ice cream.

Hardly any, and already overdose in vitamin c. Really need to cut down on vitamin c intake. If you don't want to eat fruit dint it's Nott essential or needed. Veg is better anyway and tastier.

I eat an apple, banana and pear everyday midweek, just because it's an easy thing to take to work.

I eat a fair amount of veg with my dinner, I have salad in my sandwiches, and I have things with supplements in (such as breakfast drinks and such), but I very rarely eat a piece of fruit. I occasionally have a satsuma or a banana with my sandwich at lunch.

Eh? Why would you need to cut down your vitamin C intake? You just pee out the excess
