Very jealous, keep having to resist spanking my savings towards a house on one. (Made harder by passing a Nissan showroom on the way to work :S).

I think if you went with stock OEM parts at the dealership they wouldn't be far off what I said a few years ago.

Servicing is probably the same also?

Still great performance for the money though and make sure you check the bell housing before buying.
 
But why would you go to Nissan for tyres and brakes? Servicing only at the most. Even the high performance centres they have seem to make a balls up of most things.

Litchfield, SVM, JM-Imports, ACspeedtech all offer a much much greater service than Nissan do at a much lower rate. It's not even like you need to take the car to Nissan for everything in case of a warranty claim as they seem crap at them too.

Problem for me was everywhere was a 4 hour or more drive to get things done so I used the dealership for everything except one oil change at SVM 6 months after the mods.
I also really liked the stock tyres and at the time I don't think Michelin had an PSS that was rated for the car, I drove one that had them on and it felt like the tyre was coming off the wheel round corners. I think they now have one though with stiffer side walls?

I never was concerned about warranty, just having someone work on the car and not balls it up!

R8 is great, looks nice, fast enough, makes a good noise, built well and comfortable to be in.
Was at the Southern meet on Saturday so people could have a look and I think it went down well.

I can only assume it's as mental as the rest of them, I Love the shape & how aggressive they are. Now post pics before I Bribe someone to ban your Sorry ****. :p
