Great card but now totally dead.
RIP :(
Whilst playing BF4 I started to get crashes and then error messages saying something about mantle etc.
I managed to turn Mantle off in the game settings and 5 minutes later the pc just died.
PC will boot when the 7990 is disconnected but totally dead with it is connected.
It's still within a year of it's 3 year warranty but I can't see them replacing it but then again they could repair it which I wouldn't mind.
What is the equivalent to the 7990 these days as I have been out of the loop a bit?
Very sad to see my 7990 dead :(
It was a great card.

Sorry to hear about your card. At least it's within warranty.

Approximately speaking, I would say the Nano / Fury Pro are about the same as a 7990.

if equivalent you mean Dual GPU like the 7990, that would be 295X2, in a month or so AMD will release a New dual GPU with dual Fury.
and if you want performance equivalent, closest would be FuryX or 980Ti, but the best bang for the buck right now is either 390 for £250 or Fury Nano for £350, good performance untill new 14/16nm line up GPU comes in few months

What will happen under the warranty as they can't replace the card as it is no longer available.
Will they repair it or offer me a equivalent replacement?
The pc won't boot if the rear power connector is plugged in on the card.

I got my asus from OCUK and they asked if I wanted to exchange it for another type of card or a refund, I got the refund as it was close to black Friday so wanted to get a 980ti in the sales.

Worst case they will give you a single card like a Fury or FuryX.
Go through the process of returning the card and see what you will get. If they offer a Fury/Nano/FX get it.

Something like a GTX 980 or 390X would be slightly slower but single GPU.

Something like a Fury P or Nano would be around the same performance.

Something like a GTX 980 Ti or Fury X would be slightly faster.
