Don't know if my other thread was deleted, but couldn't find it.

On gumtree there is a evga ftw edition gtx 670 2gb gddr5 for £75, is this worth getting? My 750 should be worth around £60 used going by what ive seen, but obviously no good if I should do better.

I've got a 680 and getting a bit long in the tooth now when playing games, was going to upgrade but waiting for the new cards.

I have just sold a 4GB Asus 670. The extra VRAM really helped it as it was still pushing GTAV along on highish settings at around 40-50fps. Perfectly playable.

Ha thanks for replies.

Is it really that expensive? Mean I've seen 270x with 2gb for £98 amongst other cards other than the 270 as I've seen that for £60-65 and that's only 2gb..

Seems if I want a 7950 for example with 3gb I am looking at £100 minimum, I am itching to upgrade, but obviously want some improvement as aswell as low costs as if I can't get a 370 or 950 as a present then I'm not forking out for them myself if I don't need to lol.

It is getting on a bit these days. Great card in the day though. It will do 1080p at lower settings. I used one for BF3 for a good while and it was perfectly playable.

7950 is a better option realistically £70 secondhand.forget the bay prices. they go for that regular.

If you're hoping to sell your 750 for 60 quid, are you really saying your budget for a new card is 15?

Lol no, but if I don't need to pay much more on top then I won't, I was just thinking the cheaper the better like, I don't see no point paying more than a £100 on a 2nd hand cars when a 950 for example will be better than my 750 and cost anything from £127 new, I just don't technically have that much otherwise this wouldn't even be a discussion, I'd rather pay less than 100 if I can still get better.

I'm quite interested in the 270 none X for its price and spec.

I don't own BF3 yet, but I own 4 and can play high-ultra anywhere from 40fps to 85fps, not that I noticed a different in actual quality in ultra all at 1920x1080@60hz

I was on gumtree not the bay, haven't really seen anything good on the bay yet, mean I still need to see what my 750 will get me, but I do need to be set on a card as hd4400 won't cut it lol

670s go for ~£100 on the bay. It all depends what you play and what resolution. I'm still on a gtx 480 which is overkill seeing as I'm still going through Fallout 3 which needs an 8800gtx!

For the newest AAA titles, you will want more than a 670 as other have mentioned.

BF4, SWBF, Wolfenstein the old blood(though I had no issues and completed it now lol) evil within and like the most demanding games I own, but I'm trying to get hold of 'the new order ' and I've seen fallout 4 under £25 and BO3 for £20 new or like new so I will want to get them and when I find a good price I want gta 5 and maybe just cause 3 oh and not to forget, the division when it's out.. Almost forgot metro deux or whatever it is, keep wanting to buy it as its tenner new.

Not to say I will get all at once as I'm not that lucky ha, but most demanding games I've seen that I want to test my computer with and generally play, mean my 750 should do okay as it does anyways considering GeForce experience and game debate suggests my computer should play on low-medium for the games I do play despite my computer runs just fine on high/ultra, just as I say I have that itch to improve.

Have used a 670 all until about end of December and then jumped onto a used 780 for 1440p. However at 1080 I still would have kept it as it ran bf4, assetto corsa just fine :)

A 670 won't cut it for the most graphically demanding games at 1440p. At 1080p you'll be fine on medium settings. You should be fine playing the vast majority of games released within the past 3 or 4 years.

670 is a ok card I have a gigabyte windforce in my HTPC that used to be in my main PC, depending what resolution and settings you want to run things at. It will be fine for most games at high to medium on 1080P, newer AAA titles at high settings it was starting to struggle with which is why the 670 is now in the HTPC. If you find one for a bargin and can sell your 750 for a good price, then there is no reason not to get a bit of an upgrade should give you about 1/3 better performance. If you could find a bargin on a 780 that would give you about twice the performance of your current card.

You will need to make sure that your power supply can handle the extra power requirements though as the 750 doesn't use much.

My brother still games with my old 680 (only marginally faster) and enjoys games like Witcher 3 at 1080p without much compromise on graphical quality. The 2GB is a bit of a limit but sacrifices that have to be made for the sake of framerate anyway will likely reduce memory usage anyway.

Thanks for replies.

The extra vram along with improved performance is what I want otherwise not worth it, mean I have like 4gb out of my total system memory dedicated to graphics if I remember and BF4 has only ever just gone over 1gb but only just, my 750 is overclocked slightly, but obviously this card wasn't my choice as it came with the computer and now I have it the ti version be no point.

Ironically I have seen 2 versions of the 770 2gb on gumtree the one being £120 and the other being £85, anything better seems to be much higher prices or hard to find unless it's a 7950 or 7970 around the £100-£110 mark.

My power supply is the seasonic s12ii 80 plus bronze 520w so I'm pretty covered for almost any card out there, but with a i3 I don't want to be causing bottleneck or too much bottleneck if I can help it, certainly not at a premium price.
