**** The Official Google Nexus 6P Thread ****

Amazes me people use android phones yet not Google photos! Everything backed up automatically! What's not to like?

People do use it... This is not the discussion ...But it's not great to use all the time. I find it looks at the online storage rather than the phone, which is not great when you want to look for a past pic. Quickpic is better for day to day use for me, however I do let photos backup everything

grrr, bought one of these a few weeks back..... my volume rocker button has now bent... no idea how, it's not been dropped at all (it actually happened when I was in the airport i believe)

I am not sure how to proceed with this though, Do I RMA it? or do i just take it back to carphone warehouse? I don't really want to be without a phone for long as i use it a lot :/

Anyone here had an issue with the phone not picking up 4g and showing a H... After a phone call it only shows the H and won't go back to 4g.. Not worked out how to force it back, switched to 3g and back to 4g, selected EE again, reset the apn, very strange..

Also i have no wifi, so ive got it turned off, and scanning is turned off aswell as location setting set to device only... But for some reason the in the battery graph ive got a solid bar for the wifi when there shouldn't be.

Not going well with this phone so far, only a few days in.

anyone know of a case that the phone can very easily slip/clip in and out of with hopefully just one hand? i bought the air vent car holder (forget the exact name but it's the one everyone recommends) and while good, it really doens't suit my van holder as it flings forward and backward when i drive, as well as it's not got enough grip of the vent as when i try take the phone out it moves to the side and often comes off with the phone.

what i'm thinking to do now is get a better air vent holder and glue a case made for the 6P onto it, one that would allow me to easy slip the phone in and out while still giving me access to the screen.

anyone know of any?

Most people I know with android phones don't even know about Google Now, or touch now (whatever its called)......the single best thing about android phones!

I have never been able to get a few things working in google now, seeing how far away another person is for one, both me and the wife have share commute on and neither can see any info about when the other is due home.

yep never worked for me either. it's stupid as google now really does nothing that amazing new lately. the idea is great but they've just stopped. now on tap messes up google now for me. if i say ok google when the screen is off like now, it'll most likely take 5-10 seconds to decide to do nothing. so i have to turn screen on. then say ok google, then it decides to listen. now on tap didn't add anything for me so no loss.

i'd like my phone to know my routine, and when it's near home time show a notification saying something like heading home? i click it. then this does a load of commands, like alert certain people, and even allow me to perhaps select my phone to alert me when someone who's shared their commute is at a certain point so i know when to get up and pretend i'm not sat on the couch doing nothing.

other than when i used to go to the cinema every wednesday it telling my the commute time, google now does nothing for me disappointingly.

I'm planning:
http://www.spigen.co.uk/accessories/spigen-car-mount-stealth.html

As the Slim Armour covers the buttons enough that they won't get pressed by this mount.
No hanging off things, plonked straight onto dash.

Spigen Stealth. In unstealthy bright blue

looks good though. how does it attach to the dash. i'll be in a vivaro so the below is what i've got. not sure where one like this would go.

How strange I discovered mine bent after a flight, not sure if it's related.
I read some other people on xda forum had a similar experience.

I had a case of a Samsung battery swelling on a flight

oooou, very strange :o Have you had it repaired? I am not sure what to do with these tbh, contact google or Huwaei or the shop :/

Google seems to suggest Huwaei, but I have no idea where to contact and I really don't want it to be weeks.

Just pulled the trigger on a silver 32GB :) Currently a Nexus 6 64GB owner which I've had since release. Kinda had enough of it now, it's just that little bit too big for me. The 6P looks like a nice improvement. Decided not to go with the 64GB as I don't really store much on my phone, currently using less than 6GB on my N6!

It's supposed to be arriving tomorrow. I've ordered a Spigen Rugged Armor case, plus an Orzly screen protector, both of which I have on my N6 and like them.
