After the PC is done...

Last time I bought a large order from Overclockers I took all the individual boxes, packed them all back up and put them back in the big box that they used to send everything in. It now sits in the back of the garage whenever I've needed it.

Exactly this.

That's about what I do.

All the parts boxes get put into the box the case came in and putin the loft.

With glossy electronics boxes that PC parts come in, I pack them as tightly as I can into a larger box, and put them in the loft.

For other high value items that may break, I disassemble the boxes and stuff them behind my wardrobe...

For other packaging of items which have very little resale value, are so old that the presence of a box wont matter, or simply won't break in a way which will mean the item is returnable (e.g a decorative glass bottle) - the boxes get recycled.

How big is the loft entrance? Some boxes get nasty once you start flattening them if they are pretty boxes.

I've still got boxes in the loft for things I bought 20 years ago, even though most of the actual items themselves are long gone I just can't seem to part with the boxes.

Store pretty much all the boxes I get in the garage, apart from boxes for cheap things which I throw away pretty much instantly. Once a component becomes obsolete or I decide I'm unlikely to ever sell it then I throw it away.

In the loft.

My loft is boxes galore. Box for loads of components, laptops, TV's, dvd players, floorstanding speakers, PS3.. all sorts! I always keep them in case of return or selling them in future, or handy for some items when moving house.

I loft them. At my parents place lulz.

Last year I had a clear out after 7 years. Took a few weeks of waste collections but got there in the end. It was nice sorting the collection I had accumulated.

I do tend to keep boxes and documentation for alll the parts i buy. It's useful for RMA or should you sell a product on. But thats just me, any time i sell something, particularly on here i like to keep the original packaging as it shows a prospective buyer that you are careful with the parts you are selling and that it has been cared for and packed well prior to selling.
