Hitman and AMD in DX12 partnership

Just to end the "Is Hitman a DX12 game or isn't it" discussion.

Hitman is a DX12 title.

Now, who's playing the beta this weekend?

That's good to know, Thanks.

Will the beta be fully dx12 ready Joe?

No, the Beta is DX11 sadly :(

Shame I was going to buy a Beta code for that reason but I won't bother now,

When's the actual 1st episode expected to release?

@AMDJoe

Will DX12 be available on the episode 1 release day?

So, does this mean that Nvidia's performance is going to be akin to using a 3D rasteriser back in the day before graphics cards were an essential piece of kit?

No, not in the slightest.

ASync compute just needs more care on Maxwell than Fiji to avoid performance issues. Interestingly form what we have seen Async is actually faster on Nvidia hardware, even if it is done in serial: Fable legends showed better Async performance on the 980ti than the FuryX, an synthetic benchmark on Beyond3D showed that Async compute was being done serial but the result was general faster than AMD.

Early PC gameplay and massive apologies for playing like a noob but I have had a few beers after golf lol

You can see all the Beta settings and the early PC visuals.

Thanks for the video. Game looks okay , but nothing sensational. Seems to be running reasonably well aswell.

Yer, I finally managed to get on the yacht lol and whilst it isn't really grabbing me as yet, it runs nicely and plays ok. I was hoping for some DX12 to test though, so that disappointment didn't help from the off but will carry on giving it some decent playtime.

you should be glad you'r not an assassin in real life, we probably would have lost you on your first job assignment :D
doesn't look that different from absolution

No surprises there:D

Thanks for the look G.

Nothing much changed and after ROTTR/Division expected better IQ tbh, but full DX12@release? may add some more-here's hoping.

Got a question for you:

Is Super Sampling locked in the beta or can it go max?:)

SS is unlocked and goes to a max of 2x, which results in around 20 fps for me at 1440P.

So is this going to be more like Blood Money and not like the hateful Absolution?

If they have just checkpoints again (where killed enemies come back to life after you reload!?) and don't bring the same save game mechanic from Blood Money back, i am out.

The got it so right with Blood Money with the open levels and the fact you had to use your saves strategically. Then they completely ballsed it all up with Absolution.

The fastest card on the market should at least manage an average that's in the mid 30's to 40's with all settings at there highest otherwise what's the point in such settings. It's almost like there trying to make dual cards look appetising even though there not offering enough dual card support overall.

It's not that good looking either, I know it's Beta but we are very close to release.

Isn't it in beta at the moment?

never mind that comment, it is in beta and i just read your whole comment lol.

Id never assume it would run perfectly in a beta. But from what ive seen it runs quite well infact. It could still possibly do with optimising in certain areas and might have odd bugs here and there that needs ironing out? But thats what betas are normally for?

Not one of the best looking games of late but Beta and not much in the Beta apart from the first mission and I expect the main game to look better truthfully. Gutted no DX12 though :(

Yup, that is a bit of a let-down! Not too bothered by this though, The Division will be getting my time and money :D

Now THAT is a nice looking game!! And you should easily max it out with your card and res Greg

(I get about 45-50fps with mine and 1 card, no SLi support til final release)
