Hi, does anyone know the difference between these 2 coolers? Not sure which one to get?? Im guessing v2 is latest model as cant find any reviews for it but is it supposed to be better than the GT?

Thanks,

Wrong

Cold plate redesign , pump fix, better compatibility for 1151 Skylake.

Mind sourcing where you got this from? What pump fix? What better compatibility? Liquid coolers had no issues with Skylake anytime. The only change in this renaming that I know of is that the older H110i GT now has standard 15mm fan hole spacing, as opposed to the 20mm earlier.

Double posting but felt it's worth it. I spoke to a few Corsair guys to get more info on this. The mounting was reworked to include some countersunk screws and removal of some bits in the exterior so as to not hit capacitors that some motherboards have close to the socket. That's part of the increased compatibility but nothing Skylake specific, more to counter against motherboard makers that like to test ITX and ATX layout specs.

As far as the pump goes, no change in the components or control mechanism so it is not changing in performance or noise. The firmware was updated so pump settings (especially set from Corsair Link) was stored for faster access.

No change in the cold plates.

So... in performance terms they are both the same as each other?? Looking to overclock my i5 3570k which up until now has had an easy life!
