The Division. Are we interested?

I've completed all the story missions now. Quite enjoyable and I may venture into the dark zone before the beta ends.

Part of me is quite tempted to pick it up but realistically my time to play it is going to be very limited and most of my old gaming buddies don't really play much any more either. It's also slightly motion sickness-inducing for me (though less bad than many other modern games). I'm pretty on the fence about it all.

I oc'd my 290X and the VRM temps are pretty alarming whilst playing this. Almost 100C on VRM1. This is under w/c too :eek:

You card will have a short life at that temp, heat kills.

VRM temps hitting almost 100C isn't exactly crazy high. Higher than I would like, of course, but still less than a stock card/cooler.

I've got a Zotac 970 Omega, goes almost 200mhz OC with its own boost(1400mhz GPU). 60c under load, with original cooling system.

Sending back a Gigabyte 970 because that was hitting 80c under load, and not reaching 1400 with its boost.

Always keep my temps around 60c and never get any problems with PC, runs like a dream when I use it all day and long sessions and last 10years+(I give my brother my old PCs).

Something wrong there fella, My VRM temps are about the same as my core temp under water ~50 degrees. Thats a full cover block though whats yours?

Same here, I just spent a couple of hours in-game and with it maxed apart from medium reflections it was always mid 40's or above at 1440 on a Fury pro and it ran okay, felt fine, looked nice and playing on my own it felt like it offered me options so I'll probably go for it too.
Normally I'm inclined to avoid games that demand you play online but it wasn't bad.

Sounds like you're talking about core temp instead of VRM.

I *think* you're right, I use HWmonitor, and that is the only temp on the GPU it monitors.

Ha that's pretty cool.
I enjoyed the beta but not sure I'll be pre-ordering. Seems too expensive, I'll probably wait for a sale or pick it up on key site.

Voltage regulator module. Sits just after the pin inputs and along the gpu card edge usually beside the capacitors. Look for the squares.

To those guys asking about going rogue, I think its about 10% of a persons hp u can take before going rogue, the reason its like this is so if someone not in your group runs in front of you -either to grab loot / tag boss , or to troll you into going rogue you have a chance to stop firing.

As an example people were running in front of others turrets to get them flagged as you cant stop a turret firing (afaik), people twigged & quickly stopped using turrets.

I have enjoyed it too, will miss it on Monday I'm sure. Will pick it up when its ~£20 Can't find it cheaper than £29.99 at mo
