Looking to get the GT-R paintwork protected once its back from having a detailing done, the general consensus is that Cquartz finest is the product to use, but also reading it requires a very good knowledge to apply correctly and safely.

Just wondering if anyone has had this applied to their car in the midlands area, and can recommend someone as such?

Thanks!

It's good stuff, I have all my cars done with it after a correction.

There's a new brand, Gtechnik I believe, which seems to be more durable but doesn't give quite the same level of finish.

Get it done by a professional though, it's pretty tough stuff to work with.

Clear Wrap?

Then come sale time, peel of the wrap to factory fresh paint!

Clear film is a little different. Cquartz is a special polymer finish that coats the exposed paint, offering a layer that's resistant to scratching and any fouling. It lasts a very long time, and doesn't give any hazing or orange peel on the surface.

I have the entire car coated in Cquartz or Opticoat before laying down Xpel ultimate clear film on the front of the car. Clear film is a *lot* more expensive than the coatings but offers excellent stone chip protection, and with films like the Xpel Ultimate, it's self healing so if it gets scratched, leave it in the sun for an hour or two and it's as good as new.

I get a fantastic deal on all of my installs, but for reference you can expect to pay $500+ for the coating on the car, probably closer to $1000 in reality, yet a full front film is $2000 or $4-5k for the whole car.

Gtechniq has been around for years. I'd either go with CQuartz or Gtechniq Crystal Serum + Exo. Both need to be applied by professionals as they require sanding to remove if it is applied incorrectly.
