pretty cool. I remember watching some one make some ice cream in thailand once with essential a cold griddle. that was pretty cool. Asians live in the future

No- this is how they make cabbages these days.

There was a blight disease in the '70s that killed off the Brassica oleracea (cabbage) plant to such an extent that it now only exists in labs. Fearing a peoples' revolt over shortages, the USSR designed these synthetic cabbages and farmed production out to China.
 
What's the point?
I assume it's rice based, can't imagine cabbage being expensive in china.
Looks like rice water anyway which they use in a lot of stuff that sets up when heated.

Which probably leads to cancer like everything else manufacturered.:(
