Just take the damn van full of food straight back to Alexandria and don't make any ****ing unnecessary stops along the way! It ain't rocket surgery!

+1

It's just stupid thing after stupid thing done as stupidly as possible. I was really optimistic this wouldn't be a pap episode but sadly I think we all knew it would be after last weeks explosive episode.

Only 5 more slow ones til the big finale. Maybe they'll do us all a favour and end it so we don't have to go through the anticipation and excitement for a two big episodes out of every 8 :D

I decided not to carry on watching after the break but thought I'd pop in to see if I'd missed anything. From what I've read of the restart of the season, I'm not missing anything interesting enough to drag me back so that makes it an easy decision. Farewell TWD. Hurray, I've finally learned my lesson after LOST.

I'll keep watching because the missus likes it but I think Netflix, Prime, Sky etc have changed the way I consume TV. I binge watched the first 4 series and it's hard waiting 7 days for an episode especially if it doesn't live up to the hype.

Binged Breaking Bad and thouroughly glad I did as some of those episodes (the fly episode springs to mind) would have been horrendous watching weekly. Currently re-watching the first 4 seasons of Californication before continuing with the last 3. TWD is just the thing we do at tea time on a Monday for 45 minutes now but it does have it's moments like last week, just a shame there's only a few of those around at the moment.

Oh and imagine if they did end it LOST style..... the outrage.

They really screwed up release dates, it's quite clear that last weeks return episode was in fact mid season finale. Now it looks like Rick got over everything in a day, the town was cleaned the same evening, Carl got better with hole in the head the next morning and, as usual, grew two inches upwards in the process.

I think we are all thinking "what would I do?". But we aren't used to living in "zombie world". For Rick etc. the foraging is now second nature.

We would think nothing of stopping off to pick up something from the petrol station with a boot load of shopping - for them it's the same.

Either that or they are so dumb it hurts.

Its just bad writing - loads of stuff in that episode that was done just to move the story on that no one in that kind of situation would think of doing by that point.

There was a 2 week period between the end of the mid season premier and this weeks show. Hence the miraculous cleanup and carls recovery.

At the start of the episode it was a bit jarring, almost looked like a dream sequence everything seemed so normal. Dunno just felt out of place, so they didnt make too good a job of the transition.

Rick and Michone well fair enough they have been through enough. Nice twist from the comic books where Rick hooked up with Andrea yet in the tv show she became the series bike :)

Expected a slow episode, good to see Jesus, hope hes going to be a prominent char now.

I also quite liked the Dana scenes, she looked a bit like a zombie normally anyway so the makeup job wouldnt have taken too much time :) still doesnt help Spencers likeability

Wasn't a fan of the Rick hooking up bit - would have been far better as just good friends :S done to pander to a certain part of the audience I think.

If it wasn't for the Jesus stunts it would have been a rather poor episode.

It was much longer than 2 weeks, at one point Daryl makes a comment about not having seen anyone outside the camp in weeks. For them to clean up, re-build and Carl to recover to that degree it must be 6-8 weeks or so.

Yes, the transition wasn't good at all. Last we saw Carl he's at death's door squeezing Rick's hand. Next he's up and about with his photo in a frame. Recent photo too, complete with eye patch. Where did they get that? It's not a Polaroid (wrong shape) so have they got enough leisure time in between survival runs and cleaning up the town to develop or print their own photos now?

Seems the writers really took the week off. Hope it doesn't continue.

I enjoyed the episode, the chuckle brothers chasing comedy Jesus was a little welcome light relief to the weekly gore-fest grind of late. Transition was poor though. One week knee deep in zombie gore and carnage, next week, family snaps, sweetness and light normality. I watched the "Talking dead" afterwards and the time frame is supposed to be over two months later.

And what is wrong with them?? Can they not drink a can of pop without crushing the can and drinking it out of the side of their mouth? is it an affliction?

Someonme else mentioned but it would have made more sense transition wise if this weeks episode had been the first of the 2nd half and last weeks episode had been the mid season finale.

Ah well still love the show

Apparently theres a few hints in the last episode, the walking dead writers like to throw in some tiny little scenes. Sometimes they are foreshadowing sometimes they are just to keep people guessing.

Anyway again dont read if you dont want speculation

At the start scene where Daryl kills the bikers with the rocket launcher theres a few frames where you can see a vehicle driving into the background. This could have been a production error, or could it be Negans men seeing the incident?

Also theres speculation that Daryl getting injured in the back specifically on the wing on his jacket is foreshadowing of him having his wings clipped, prior to his death?

For me personally i love this level of detail they throw into the series, some of it is red herring material for sure to throw people onto the wront scent, time will tell

If its the bit where the guy says "yes i am" and in the distance something barely pops over the hill (coming towards instead of away) i think that's reaching a bit to say the least. Most likely as you say something caught on camera that wasn't meant to be.

Ninja Jesus ninja'ing himself on top of the van in zero seconds flat and then deciding to jump up and down to alert the occupants!

Also, cans of pop are obviously some mysterious new technology to these people :D

I do enjoy it though, probably best not to over analyse anything too much.

They did wait a bit once in the van, Rick pointlessly swinging his keys round his fingers etc.

He only started rattling about on the van when driving over the field and it was bumpy, rather than a smooth road.

Exactly how I saw it too. It was very forced imo. Rick and Michonne work well because they don't have any physical and emtional attachment to one another. They should be just good friends to maintain that relationship. As soon as I saw the opening scene I knew it wasn't good. I wonder how that going affect the story in the future.

There still time but totally agree they could have done more with aftermath and the transition of what happen to Jesse and Carl.

A few things with the van as well. Like you guys mention with such a big haul in the van. They never once checked it thoroughly. And why stop that many times.
Deanna was a little far fetched too. How was she still intact? I expected parts missing at the very least, particularly with that size of horde.

Jesus looked the part but still early days in terms how he is portrayed. He not a ninja but a super ninja. Was there no guard outside were he was held?

This episode jut annoyed me more than anything.

Pick up a full truck - great, but then why didn't dark or rick dim rive the car back at same time rather than both going in the truck?

Jesus who somehow manages to transport onto a van roof after undoing ropes, within 0.5 of a second..

then undoing the ropes again.. and walking around a whole town to magically find the room with rick and not one other person noticing him?

Last week was great but as usual it's down to poor writing and boring story line :(

Rick and Michonne being together is likely just so that it has a bigger impact on the survivor when one is killed off, probably Michonne.
