Got my first EKWB product this morning which was a AMD nano WB.

Managed to fit the card, only to find that one of the screws that seals/keeps the waterblock together is missing, and must have missed quality control, as the box and plastic bag was sealed.

Anyone else ever had a problem like this? I've sent them an email to CS and hoping they can send me a replacement screw, so I can go on my way.

Quite disappointed :(

Had a few problems with ek blocks and thier "quality controll" which seems to consist of two blind men and a cat.

Problems such as a leaking block first time, replacement block had missing parts such as o rings and thermal pads, and then a block for my second card the fitting holes not lining up.

Still use ek blocks tho and customer service eventually sorted the problems out. Altho i paid for the tech labs prefitted waterblocks on my 980ti's so i could deal with overclockers if any problems arrive

Never had this issue on any of the blocks ( about 10 gpu and 4 cpu) I've bought from EK.

I have a few GTX 680 blocks lying around, if EK don't reply let me know and I can post some of my screws. The screws on the 680 are the same as my 780ti screws, so am assuming your will be as well.

Thanks for the offer :)

They got in contact yesterday asking for shipping details but I ain't herd anything back since. I've been thinking about removing one of the screws and going round to local shops to see if they have any.

I had a few screws missing from my backplate.
EK sent me a bag of replacements pretty quickly. I found the customer service very good.

However, I needed them over the weekend so managed to source some at a local maplins.
The ones I needed were M2.5x6 & a bag of 6 can be purchased for about £1, the block screws I think we're M3x4

Is there not a uk service department or is it in another country?

Anyone know what screws/bolts I would need?

Company is in Slovakia, took about 5 days for them to send me replacements
As I said in previous post the screws for the block are probably M3x4 or M3x5

I managed to find some in my local maplins, they were a little to long but I cut them down & they were fine.

Have you tested whether it leaks?

Set up a loop with just the block and your pump res and run water overnight. It might be fine, even a very slow leak will not cause any issues over a couple days.

Out of around half a dozen EK blocks I've had 2 with problems.

The first was a GPU block that leaked as the seal wasn't fitted properly

The second was just that one of the screws wasn't tightened correctly so there was a small gap between the metal and perspex that in time built up with some residue. Both problems were fixed easily enough just by disassembling and reassembling the blocks.

I learnt after the first problem that although EK's products are great their QA isn't so I thoroughly check any new parts of theirs before use.

It's not worth trying because you can see there is a gap between the block, so it would leak.

I've sent them another email and still nothing back, they confirmed if they have posted it out or if they have received my shipping details. I'm not impressed :(

They turned up yesterday. If anyone wants to know their size of the screws, they are M4 X 8.

Fitted the one missing yesterday and all working fine with no leaks :)

Got it up and running and very happy with the temperatures at performance coming from gtx 480 sli.

Maxing out temperature at 41c, and I'm sure there will be air in the system, so should settle down.

Can max rainbow six with 144fps and free sync and looks amazing. Will have a look at overclocking next.
