The Division. Are we interested?

My group survived manhunt four times, received 601 DZ credits each time, XP i do not know how much you get because already was at max levels.

For not surviving manhunter lost 900 DZ credits and lost over 4000XP. my mate lost 2300 DZ credits.

So not much point going rogue in its current form if you lose more than you would gain O.o

Worth a Buy's latest beta preview video nails it to be honest. ''The Division Preview (Beta) - Dumbed Down or NexGen''

lol this time he is talking ****. His comparisons are comical at best. Read my comment in his video, I tell him where to shove his bell. :D

Really? Thought his "review" was terrible. Comparing it to Half life...

exactly, what next? Gears or Mass Effect cover system is bad because it doesn't copy Half Life.

Gah, I changed my mind and want the gold edition....pre-ordered via uPlay with their 20% discount code, any ideas if they can alter the pre-order? Trying to use the contact page at the moment but not loading up for some reason.

I guess you both completly missed the point with the HL reference, it wasn't a comparison, I'll try to explain....

The guy was talking about his disdain at how new games treat players. Half Life probably hasn't been beaten for it's fantastic story, gun play and difficulty. In Half-Life you had to work everything out for yourself, no ingame wall hacks , no massive pointers showing you where to go next, no flashing boxes to show you it can be opened. HL gave the player a total sense of satisfaction because they worked it out for themselves, they got through by trial and error it was compelling to complete. He is making reference to the lack of any of that within The Division and most modern 'NG' games.

I agree with probably 98% of what he says, but you know what, I found The Division beta fun! I guess it was the Dark Zone that made it for me as the PvE section was pure rinse and repeat tedium, however stiffing someone in PvP who thought you were friendly and robbing their loot was a hoot. Will I be buying it ? not on release not until they can stop the hackers and it's dropped in price.

Uplay is actually beginning to grow on me. I think with all of it's regular improvements nice download speeds ( that i simply can't get on steam ) and the sad fact that steam has been taking several steps in the wrong direction and really needs to get a grip has been making me see Uplay in less of a bad light :/.

Gabe really needs to take some notes i think.

I'm only on 80mbit so Steam maxes my connection :p

You've got some reasonable points there to be honest but Steam will have to get substantially worse for me to make me move from the laziness of having everything in one place.

I've got a 20% off code for Ubi Store if you'd like it. I seem to have some kind of points accumulated on uPlay

Not sure if it's account locked or if the code can be given away but yours if you'd like to try it.

Very kind offer, thanks :) I'll give it a miss though and just hope some deal comes up on Steam.

My steam downloads cap off at about 12mb/s uplay and origin both get up to 20.

I have tried several steam download regions however the Manchester one is strongest as im very close to it. Not that 12mb/s is slow mind you it just could be faster is all.

I totally agree with everything being in one place would be really nice to not have to faf about with unnecessary software packages just to launch a game i own. The main issue i have with steam currently is how poorly they treat customers and simply don't care about us. I still can't believe it took them over 2 months to respond to my email about someone who was attempting to illegally obtain access to my account via communications with valve and had somehow gained access to about 20 cd keys that are attached to games on my steam account. Lot's of little things will make steam great again, i just hope they do see that they are taking a bad path such as the one youtube is taking.

I'm on my second account after my first was permanently locked after an error with PayPal. This happened years ago but support were absolutely useless.

There are plenty of good reasons not to like Steam to be honest :/

That's really bad i would be devastated especially after spending as much money as i have on my steam account. Is there no way you can chase it up at all?

Steams a funny old thing. Very " love hate " There are as you said plenty or reasons to not like Steam but the same can be said for reasons to love steam. :D

Im not spending much time gaming atm since my X99 system left me. Glad this POS temp system can handle a few games i like to play though haha!

It was ages ago now so I've just moved on. My new account would be annoying to leave behind too :p

My time for gaming is also quite limited. Damn work and such.

He's clutching at straws for the sake of it and he comes of as a squat cobbler.

The game has an incredible environment and then he says everything looks the same. He couldn't be further from the truth. Every City has different areas and even from the limited access we had in the beta I could access sewers, warehouses, bays, construction sites, camps, terraced streets etc.

When it comes to entertainment I don't see anything as a "review" People have their opinions and either you agree with what a person has to say or don't. In this instance I don't.

If someone "reviews" a game and doesn't qualify stuff similar to Total Biscuit's style then I just disregard what they have to say as personal preference/individual taste.

Now going from one crap video to something good. :)

So i purchased both the sleeper agent and gold edition, i purchased the gold edition from Uplay using the 20% off code and the Sleeper agent yesterday using a discount so i payed £99 for it.

The reason for buying both is I've sold the game and season pass out of the sleeper agent already and i have the gold edition for a pre load as my internet is terrible aha.

Do we know if you buy the game on CDKEYS or somewhere that they deliver the game code early as a friend is purchasing from their.

Can't wait for the game personally i'll have a full team on the ready for launch.

Here's to hoping they are hiding raids or some sort of awesome end game content. As i can see my self putting hundreds of hours into this game.

Again, I think you've missed another important point, it was a 'Preview' not a 'review' of a beta.

Do you really think the missions like 'enter empty building, follow markers and press button to deactivate something, that will have no impact on anything if you don't, has advanced gameplay ? be honest now, come on!

You might want to defend the game, that's fine but don't act like it's the next best thing. Strip away the nice graphics and it's very generic and plain.

To be fair that's a side quest it has nothing to do with the main story, it's optional and it's not forcing you to do it so obviously it's not going to have any inpact now is it......and something that you didn't point out is that when you're finding the buttons you are also going through every room in the building to get supplies for your base of operations, that is needed to progress your abilities.

It's easy to say it's very generic and plain, i can pick apart almost any game aswel but some seem to focus on the negative way to much. I don't think anyone is claiming it's the next best thing like you're stating but hey, everyone has opinions and we have all the right to agree or disagree with them.

I love the environment but think I'll give it a miss at least until it's cheaper, it felt a bit too "borderlands" without the fun and I didn't really like the fact it took so many shots to kill enemies, that may be down to garbage newbie loot but it just didn't feel right.

Also if I'm honest the story line seems utterly pants, there's a virus, therefor we have lots of generic gangs running about for next to no reason randomly standing on roof tops etc.

A lot of this could be patched but tbh I just can't see myself throwing money at it when there are better games to play at the moment, I'll wait and see how it is in a couple of months.

Also there is something about this game that reminds me of Tabula Rasa, probably the insane number of shots required to kill a target or xping with guns.

Updates I hope will happen over the next year.

Add other parts of NewYork , As I believe a lot of what we have seen in the Video's over the past year will not be in the release on march the 8th

Example : Brooklyn bridge and Brooklyn apparently is not in the game at all :(

I did notice in the open Beta they have made the Graphics a little better than a lot of the Video posted last year so that was great so hoping for more upgraded graphics in future updates , its possible with the Snowdrop engine to do this I believe.

Know once really knows what is and isn't in the final release so will have to wait and see but I'm really looking forward to it.

To be fair they never did say that Brooklyn or Brooklyn bridge would be in the game.... All of that came from speculation with no proof. The map is what it is and is unlikely to expand by any significant margin.
