Hey

So one of my tyres is peeing out air from the valve. its from the front (the metal bit) so it's not a split or anything. It seems to stop (it probably doesn't) when the cap is tight but I'm sure it's slowly leaking out even then.

Is this an easy fix or is it new tyre time? I really don't want that kinda expense since i'm mid-house purchase but if that's what's gotta be done...

Can i just take it to someone and throw twenty quid at them to sort it or is it a larger issue? :(

(Please don't laugh at my lack of knowledge for mechanics. I'm trying to get better!)

pull valve core, replace with new valve core. £20 should cover that with change for a creme egg or 3.

Haha awesome thanks. I called a guy based on this info, he mentioned that with the new Audi's they can have "digital valves" that read tyre pressure, but i don't think i have that since it would have told me the tyre was at 16PSI right? i didn't get any warnings.

Please don't judge me cause i couldn't feel the tyre was at 16psi while driving. I'm sure dad is rolling his eyes.

Just cause i'm a sucker for completing a story - the guy just tightened it up, didn't even need replacing. i got £20 change from £20.

Can i shock you?

I don't even like Creme Eggs. They're awful. Even before Kraft got hold of them.

I'll spend it on a pint in Manchester tonight.
