Just wondering who would be responsible for this?

We are looking at getting our driveway re-done, however the "ramp" part of the footpath is in pretty horrible condition, so it needs to be sorted, does this fall under something I would need to get sorted, or something the council would need to do?

It all started when they cut into the tarmac to create a driveway for a neighbor, the cut ended in the middle of our "ramp" so where the 2 bits join, its just worn away as its been driven over, to the point on cold days it can be borderline dangerous to walk on.

Obligatory picture....

Depends on your council, around here if you want to extend the ramp then you pay for it. Contact the council though and see what they say - you'll have to get their approval no matter what

Doesn't look that bad to be honest, but tell the council it's a massive trip hazard and you/your wife/mother etc tripped over it and they will be all over it like wasps around your beer on a hot summers day.

It collects all those tiny little tarmac stones in it, which while we keep it swept as much as possible, after a few days if its even slightly cold someone stepping foot on them can go flying.
