I am at that stage now where I am really sick of Sky tv and am looking at Amazon Fire in the hope that it is the best choice to switch over to. So, for those who already have Amazon Fire, how would you rate it?

Pro/con

Its good but not on its own. I have netflix/nowtv(movies)/prime

prime is getting better as they add more content and they seem to be making more content themselves

OP - you mean amazon prime

'fire' is the hardware - tablets, TV sticks etc... the latter of which can be used to watch amazon prime via your TV or just the free services and individually paid for stuff from amazon video

anyway I like it, I'm not a big football fan so not fussed about having Sky - amazon prime has some decent stuff on it - I also use amazon video for the walking dead season 6 (pay for each episode)

Whats the charge per episode out of curiosity?

Now TV show it at the cost of £6/month, so £1.50/episode, however you don't get to keep it of course.

I enjoy the walking dead but can't imagine i'd ever watch it again.

Primes ok. Content is getting better, but not up there with netflix yet. I also HATE how they muddle prime content with paid on the fire devices, it's a mess.

They are £2.50 each episode, season 1-4 are available for free though.

Can you get now tv content on it then?

OP, its a great device. I use it for Netflix mainly. One thing I love is how speedy the thing is and Ive got the first edition, No idea what the newer one is like, i suspect even better!

no you cant, I have a Nowtv box for now tv and 4oD.

rather annoying that it doesn't support everything

cheers, yeah thats like most things now days, no such thing as the perfect device that does the lot.

I was using my playstation which had them all on. but the wifi signal was terrible when we moved it downstairs so its been replaced by the stick and now tv box.

I believe the roku box can do them all?

Apart from PrimeTV, presumably? :p

Interested to hear NowTV has TWD s6. I need to figure out what to do to watch that and GoT when it starts. Do I really have to buy a NowTV box though?

I just got one from the rainforest £14.99 on sale with 3 month entertainment pass. Bargain.

Yeah I think I will have to do similar when GoT starts.. Does that 3month pass start immediately, or when you decide to?
