Power of attourney gives you controls over someones financial matters.
I have no idea how that extends, it is the terms of a solicitor.
Are they married?
Yes - married.
I am going to propose that I will sign over the rights to my part of the estate so long as I get the deeds to a property. I have done some rough calculations and I'd be entitled to £212K ish before tax. The property I'll request the deeds for is worth about £140K.
The basis is that Parent B and siblings are going to use the inheritance to buy a large home in Parent B's name which they will all live in. Whilst I don't benefit in any way of this other than I am being offered a third of said home when Parent B passes. None of which is guaranteed.
I don't see why they should all benefit from this awful experience living mortgage free in a large home in an affluent area whilst I have to scrape by living separately.
What worries me is the whole power of attorney / legal guardian thing.
I won't be signing anything without a lawyer. I won't have time tomorrow but I'll try and get one in place over the next week.
