Hi there, im selling my BMW 518i E34 and was looking for any advice on what kind of price its worth.

BMw518i.jpg

166,000 Miles
2 Owners from new (Including me)
6 Months MOT left
Full Service history
Inside is in Brilliant Condition
Outside, No dents but minor swirl marks as you would expect

Am only looking for a rough Idea/guideline

They seem to sell around 1500-2000 from what I've seen on eBay, mainly because I was very tempted by one :D

Ive seen these go for as little as £400. But saying that yours is a nice colour with the right alloys on and in good condition, its just a shame its a 1.8.

£1000-1500.

I think you'll struggle to top that as most people looking for a tidy one will also want the larger engine options.

Anywhere between 300-1000 looking around, looks nice though, I would stick it up for 1k and see what offers you get in. Gumtree/PH ads for free.

Lovely car, shame it's not a six pot, imo one of BMW's best the e34.

£1k and you'll be doing well given its engine.

The trouble with that is that you would have to replace practically everything so you'd have been better off buying a 530/540 instead :p. A shame as this car does look tidy.

Indeed, more to doing that than just a plain engine swap.

Aren't the wheels on that one from an E39?

Nothing looks worse than a car wearing wheels from a newer model, or wheels from a car higher up the brand ranks.

Iirc those are style 5's and are factory wheels for an e34 and even older models (e28)?

Indeed, they are style 31's which were only fitted to e39's.

He's a local BMW specialist, I'd guess he's got plenty of spare sets of alloys and that 520 was probably on steel wheels with wheel trims, tbh I reckon it would indeed look better standard.
