Hi guys.

So i have decided to finally start buying parts for my PC but what to get is what im struggling with so i thought i would start by asking the experts. I basically want to be able to stream and record Youtube videos at a high solid FPS without any lag, games such as CS:GO, Battlefield, the division... The list goes on. BUT my current PC is AMD and its a few years old and is starting to struggle. This time im looking to go for NVIDIA. (Unless you guys think otherwise)

My current budget is 1200 maybe more but for now around that area. I am not in need of any monitors or any other peripherals as i already have what im comfortable with. Monitor size 1920x1080.

Any helps is greatly appreciated, thanks.

I got the following for around £1220 ish. Might give you some ideas as to what you can get for your money. If I was to build it again, I'd change the PSU, other than that I'd recommend the setup!

Intel Core i5-6600K 3.9GHz (Skylake) Socket LGA1151 Processor
Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler
Gigabyte GA-Z170XP-SLI Intel Z170 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX Motherboard
HyperX Fury Black Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) 2133 MHz DDR4 Memory
Zotac GeForce GTX 980Ti AMP Omega Edition 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Fractal Design Define S Midi Tower Case
EVGA 650 W G2 GOLD 80+ Modular PC Power Supply Unit
Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB 2.5 inch Solid State Drive

Don't go for the AMD CPU's unless you can wait for Zen.

Thanks for the replies. I hate AMD from what i have experienced, i would like to go for nVidia this time if i am going to spend a lot of money on my build.

I already have a copy of Win10 stulid :)

Would going for i7 instead of i5 be a better decision? @ upgrade

Okay brilliant thanks. Also you was saying you would go for a different PSU, what would you recommend instead?

Well, the only issue I have the above setup is that I constantly got lock ups which resulted in me having to reboot the PC. It was basically caused by C-states and once disabled it was fine. I believe it's something to do with my PSU not being able to handle the computer at low loads or what not.

Honestly not sure what I would recommend. Better wait for more people to chime in with their opinion :p

Okay mate well thank you anyway i have taken note, ill wait to here on some other responses before making any rash decisions :)

Upgrade, what is your build like for streaming also. I would like to be able to stream without feeling my PC being throttled to death, this is one of my main reasons for rebuilding.
Thanks

i7 will have more cores and/or hyperthreading so will perform better when streaming and gaming. Price tag isn't worth it in my opinion but depends how rich you are.

Okay thanks for the help guys, i may go for the i7 not 100%. But if that means i wont get throttled i may have too. Could anyone link me to an i7 that would be suitable with this build. Thanks a bunch :)

Also noise is a big issue, i dont really want it to be roaring at me constantly. How loud is this build upgrade?
