Is today. In case you forgot.

A bit like valentine's day really. A complete load of twaddle but it isn't worth ignoring it!

I don't like the whole Mothers, Fathers, Valentines, Dogs, Cats, Rabbits Day.

Why do you need one certain day forced in your face to show your appreciation and love for a certain person? It should be something done throughout the whole year!

Just when you thought you'd got over christmas BAM valentines day, mothers day, easter draining all your money.

Debt slavery anyone

This is my wife's first mother's day, our son was born 10 days ago, still in NICU.

couldn't let get down on this one!

Mothers day used to be the busiest day of the year at the restaurant I used to work at.

A lot of people make a huge deal out of it. It's nice to be appreciative, but the commercialism of all these things is just really depressing.

I like valentines day.
This year was a good one.. Got to ask waitress for a screaming orgasm as they had a funky menu.
I know it's completely commercial but I find it kind of cute, candlelight dinner at nice pub etc

Not a fan of cards tho, I don't buy them any time of the year, mothers, father's day etc it's just a catch up phone call. Or visit in person. Means way more than a card and object

Not a fan of presents at Xmas either. My family are all similar Christmas costs maybe 100ish pounds for presents. Long as see each other that's all I worry about

I bought my mum flowers, chocolates, a litre of Courvoisier and a personalised card. Spent about £110 all in. I could tell it meant a lot to her. She's the best mum ever.

Popped into tesco earlier for a few general essentials, lots of people have left buying a card/gift/flowers till today! oops!

Bit of a weird day for me, considering my mum passed away just under a month ago :(

Was in a card store the other day, looking at Yankee candles. My mum always loved scented candles. Had to wrap my head around the fact there was no longer any point in buying one.

I'm sad now -_-

I went into Sainsbury's today, their flower stand was bare except 2 scrappy looking bunches. Heard a couple walking in and proclaiming, "oh no, they've only got these flowers left!". This was about 3pm - if you're going to any effort, then put in a lot of it, don't just buy some last minute crap flowers :D

I to have no mother, albeit she passed a few years ago as opposed to recently. Grandmother went recently too. So instead, I chopped a tree down and took a few trips to my local tip :D Keep busy, you'll never stop missing her but you learn to cope :)

Taking my mum out for a meal next weekend instead of this one. Prices are double this weekend and she doesn't want me to waste the money lol

Took my mum out for a meal with the rest of the family. Restaurant was crazy busy but we had a lovely time.
