Hi guys,

Need some assistance... I have pre-ordered the oculus rift and at the same time want to reduce my current setup as I have had enough off carrying it it ways a ton lol.

I currently have a dual waterlop for my 690gtx and i7 cpu but I dont do overclocking and have been there and done it now as my rig looks really nice but not really practical anymore so I want to downsize but use all my current gear excluding my 690 as I know I need to upgrade to a 980ti.

The case I currently have is the NZXT Switch 810 and its huge and heavy with all my kit and I would like something more manageable.

So what I am after is an alternative board to my asus rampage IV extreme (Intel X79 - Socket 2011 DDR3 Motherboard)maybe a mini atx that I can use all the components I have like the CPU, Memory and then I can get the 980ti and then have a rig with same power but without the water cooling as like I said before don't do overclocking and my current case has 2 radiators and about 12 fans all of which I no longer need, and I will only expect to use 1 graphics card. And any suggestions for a small case would be helpful :)

CPU: : Intel Core i7-3930K 3.20GHz (Sandybridge-E) Socket LGA2011
Memory: G.Skill RipJawsZ 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
Sound: PCI-E SoundBlaster XFI card

I eagerly await your advice as I want to get this all sorted before my Oculus Rift turns up :D

Thanks in advance

You need a smaller x 79 motherboard but the only place you can get them is on an auction site and will be lucky to get a micro atx.

Nope ..... Rampage Extreme uses the Asmedia extensible Controller which is not compatible :( So will need to get a compatible usb hub.

Got to say that case is very impressive given its size :) OCUK any chances of stocking it??

Do you have access to the MM?

Have you run the Oculus compatibility test?
