I'm not the one to usually consider leasing a car, but this seems very good for a two year lease... Or am I missing something?

NEW VW PASSAT 2.0TDI 190PS BI-TURBO ALLTRACK 4WD DSG AUTO

£1500+vat Initial rental
5,000 miles per annum
23 rentals £57.78+vat
Cheaper to go on 5k and pay 6p excess
4WD 190PS AUTO
18” ALLOYS
SAT NAV
PRIVACY GLASS
BLUETOOTH
FRONT AND REAR PARKING SENSORS
DAB
ADAPTIVE CRUISE
6-8 WEEKS DELIVERY

Is this worth considering?

Where is the deal?

It works out at £3,394.73 over 2 years or £141 a month so does look like a good deal to be fair,

Car can be bought new for £25,801 assuming it's the GT spec so they are working on the basis it will be worth more than £22,400 in 2 years, or more likely VW want a load of load mileage 2 year old cars to sell on through their network.

It was offered to me through my companies lease provider, I don't think they have many so I will hold off mentioning the name for now. I am sure someone will fine the offer though.

5k miles pa really isn't very much at all. The UK average is around 12-14k.

Works for me at the moment, I basically live next to my office, but still need to drive. Might find it constricting, but 6p a mile isn't too bad if I go over.

Stonking deal, is it only available in grey?

No too sure, the guy I was speaking to seems to have gone home. :o

One thing I cant quite see is why it is showing as 2.0TDI 190PS when I can only find 240PS. Anyone got the link to this on the VW website?

Edit: Found it, looks like it is the GT model which starts at £29,825...

It might be old stock so check the last type of Passat model

These deals are all pretty low mileage ones. Not practical for most people unless it's a second car :/

The 6p a mile excess seems to be pretty good. Do an extra 10000 miles and it is only £600 more per year or £50 a month. Doesn't seem to bad.

I am split on it though, I am not sure if it is a great deal or not. It certainly seems like cheap motoring for 2 years compared to my 05 civic type r.

I am also getting old and like comfort, I will get the t sports car itch down the line, but this looks like it will save me money.

Sounds a great deal OP! What's the point in 5k mileage cap in a diesel? Nobody should have a diesel unless it's 15k+ mileage per year.
What's with more and more cars being Bi Turbo now  it's going to make run of the mill cars like Astra's, Insignia's and Passats stupidly expensive to run when they are second hand and out of warranty.

Looks ideal for carting around a dirty mountain bike. Reliable, comfortable, torquey, economical, no insufferable manual gearbox etc.

Durr duurr don't get a diesel not always the case with cheap lease deals especially now diesel prices have dropped

Seems to be legit. I'm not looking for this car but called up NVS and others have confirmed that they got the order to with a 12 week lead. You can also get it direct from VW if you check out WhatCar. Deal looks very good value.
