seems after almost 2hrs my u-play account did some huge patch download,
once that installed and i verified my game files
it seemed to run fine
i set my gcard to optimal in nvidia control panel
and its running anywhere between 65-100 fps
game looks good plays smooth now on my x34 monitor
not sure what was causing it to get really hot before but since it did the patch update it is working fine.,

On the rig in my signature I get about 60fps on high most of the time but if it gets busy it will drop to 40ish. If its busy and snowing more like 35. Seems like the 970s are doing well. Playing at 1080p as well

Where's cheapest for this atm as really don't want to pay a lot in case I don't get into it.

why dont you buy it on steam and give it a go? if you dont like it, get a refund. if you do, get a refund and buy it elsewhere for cheaper. you'll have files downloaded from steam.

win win.

As most on here I'm loving what I've played so far. Completely maxed out at 1440p with Gsync and SLI 980ti's and as haven't seen a dip below 60 fps yet! Couple of things that are bothering me though...

How do I turn off the horrible ghosting effect on all the text in game and is it just me or is the death animation for npc's really "choppy"?

Thanks :)

I've noticed my gpu and cpu temps are bad with this game for some reason?

Fully wced with nano at 1050core and i7 4770k @4.2

Gpu parts will go up to 50c and cpu to 60c. Then sometimes gpu will be at 34c.

If there's any new players, here's a tip I wish I knew about earlier. All the crappy gear you pickup that sells for like $48, or $12, I'd deconstruct them and get the materials from them, worth far more. Earn the decent money in missions.

Game looks lovely, did what I normally do which is to crank up my settings to the max and see what I can get.

980Ti@1080p with Gsync was sitting pretty around 70-80fps in the first safe house and little mission.

Happy with that, add some sweetfx and it will look even nicer.

aye, had a good few hours this afternoon with Nex, Tess and Squeezey. Playing the missions on Hard whilst being underlevelled in a squad is definitely the way forward. Took us about 45 minutes to do the Subway, a proper challenge for me and nex as we were under levelled and all enemies had skulls on above there heads lol. Was great fun though.

Going to buy this today and download it later on.

Never played a Tom Clancy's game. Is this better as a single player or assuming you can do co-op style missions?

Yeah just of now, got to rank 8 and should get some better weapons equipped etc. when I get back on later. And indeed Tony, it is insane!!! We were getting one shotted and basically just tickling the enemies lol....

Josh, you will need to get to Manhattan before being able to join others, will take you about 30-60 mins.

Settings wise, I have followed nvidia's guide and turned the shadows etc. down a notch, FPS fluctuates between 35-60, got to say though, even in the 40's the game feels pretty smooth and the frame latency is surprisingly quite low for those FPS <20ms, in most other games, it would be <25ms
