Beta had much more pvp... I'm sure the penalties weren't as severe. To be fair I also rage quitted the beta from the cheaters and didn't play again so maybe I missed something.
 
Tempted to get this i enjoyed the beta but would have prefered bigger squads and more enemies on the streets as i found them to be few and far between but maybe it changes the further you get ingame.

Or

Just wait for the bigger brother wildlands
 
The dark zone is COVERED with NPCs now, can't go anywhere without not encountering some and then needing ammo every 5 minutes :p



This game just looks so ****, I mean just look at how ugly it is and those particle effects with the snow and lighting urgh...

Might up the sharpness a bit though as could do with a bit more "pop/clarity" I think
 
This is one to be enjoyed as a group, played with Nexus and Josh earlier makes things much easier than going solo, though I like running through the main missions on normal on my own first

You forgot to mention all the deaths as you start to clear a pack of mobs only to have a runner 4 levels higher come up & 1-2 shot you in the back with a shotgun, or an entire other pack doing that. :)

Some streets you see rival factions fighting with each other, & not in small groups either, like 8 a side or something.
 
anyone else getting crashes when trying to respawn in the dark zone?

3 times its happened to me today every time I die and then press to respawn I get a hard lock.

Doesn't happen at any other time
 
would anyone equate this to diablo 3 - esque ? as in farm - get better weapons - take down more spongy enemies

I mean that in a positive as I rather enjoyed D3.

no thats fair enough, mean i wish i could afford a 960 nevermind anything better ha, just that gpu is an awful lot of money full stop, but least you should have no issues playing the game with the match up
 
sorry if i seem to be going on, but im ready to buy this pretty much and i have uplay open on the purchase page, its 39.99 like it is for steam code in game, should i go ahead with the uplay or do what others have done and googled and hope for the best?

If you want it cheaper, then just go to Gamesplanet and buy the code there. It's a Uplay code that you activate through Uplay, doesn't go through Steam.
 
as far as I know it's all Uplay even if you buy on steam isn't it? I bought mine from gamesplanet for £49 gold edition
 
Spent a few hours in the DZ finally, got upto rank 17, nice to see it's harder than the beta but my god some of the mobs in there took a beating to get killed.

0 - 17 and 0 good drops :(
 
I did the grind and levelled up to 30 in the normal game, without going into dark zone

I decided to move into the dark zone, and it's just brutal! Every bad guy is armoured up, it's like having to kill end of level boss's, but on every kill.

Coupled with the fact that i can't buy any decent gear as I'm only Level 12, and everything in the vendors is Level 30 minimum. :(
