Ford Capri are coming back?

^^ Aside from the back being a bit squashed looking nothing wrong with the design - just IMO has little that says Capri.

Ford are going to concentrate on suv's and crossovers so it is highly unlikely to happen, yes that photochop has been doing the rounds a while now

the original Capri wasn't that good, it couldn't hold the road at all, it had a soft back end with useless leaf springs........it was an idiots car:cool:

the best Ford back then was the Granada 3.0

The original Capri was the dumbed down European equivalent to the likes of the Mustang, with the Mustang now released over here i don't see why Ford would re-do the Capri.

Unless of course they just want to draw money from the Capri brand ala VW Scirocco

They should have gone for retro styling and based in on the old one I think.

I just can't see any reason why someone would buy this over a Fiesta or Focus ST? It certainly doesn't look nearly as nice as either of them and performance is around the same. It's not even RWD, so you can't re-live the days of spinning 180 upsidedown in to a ditch in the rain, like the old days.

i used to like the later Granada 2.8 Injection in Black, that looked so cool....the Granada was ok around a corner, but slower due to its far bigger size.....it was a HULK of a car :D

the only Capri that looked really good was the earlier 3000E, the bronze version with the black vinyl roof...yes they rusted like crazy, just like the Cortinas, i had 6 of them, great memories :D

i'm not sure about these new concept designs, they're all squat, rounded and too short.........the 2017 Civic Type R looks similar too

you cant stretch that new Capri or it'll look like a Mustang, in fact; it looks like a Mustang that's been rear-ended by a London Bus already :D

all i know is, because of the success of the Mustang/ Focus RS/Dodge Challenger etc, that Ford are planning more Muscle cars, so this Capri could be true, but lets hope it doesn't look like this
