New Skylake building, what do you think?

Well, after a few years with my laptop it's time to settle and build a desktop. Because of the timing I presume that the way to go is Skylake, but I'm unsure of the GPU, as I read that in a couple of months Nvidia mightbe releasing the 10XX series in a few months time (mid/late 2016)... I'm between going for a GTX 970 and hope I can maket it last for a few years or going for sth cheaper (probably 2nd hand) and cope with it till the new cards arrival.

The build I have in mind would be something like this:

Intel Core i5-6600K 3.9GHz (Skylake) Socket LGA1151 Processor - £199.99
Gigabyte Z170-Gaming K3 Intel Z170 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX Motherboard - £99.95
Kingston Fury Black 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C15 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black - £56.99
MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming Edition 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card - £269.99
EVGA 600W 80 Plus Power Supply - £43.99
NZXT Source 340 Midi-Tower Case - Blue Window - £59.99

Total = £730.90 + del (£460.91 without GPU)

What would you change? And what would you do with the GPU matter?

Thank you all

Thanks, I just pretty much picked a random Z170 with DDR4. Bundled or not, would that be the best/more economic option?

Thanks

It is a higher grade board, whether it's more economical depends if it's cheaper than the CPU+board you picked.

I was going to pull the trigger on it but it is OOS now (I do not remember if it was in stock or not when you posted it).

Is there any other bundle you would recommend? or what mobo with a reasonable price would you go for?

Thank you

It will be back instock soon.

How soon? I already bought the 2nd hand graphics (Asus GeForce GTX 970 DirectCU II OC Strix 4Gb) so I would like to order everything in the next couple of days, so I can build it during the weekend.

In case it is not in stock on time, what would be your recommendation?

At least get a decent psu. The budget one you have picked isn't even bronze rated. Consider these:-

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £131.08
(includes shipping: £11.10)

Both are gold rated and have a 5 year warranty. The Antec is built by Seasonic and has a 540w 12v rail while the Superflower has a 546w 12v rail.

I did the basket on a run (even forgot to add the ssd to the OP), and just took the first 500w psu I saw. The one in my basket atm is the SuperFlower... any noticable difference between the Super Flower and the Antec? And what do you think of the new Aerocool PSU'S? Modular and same price range
