BBC News struggling for REAL news...

I used to like BBC (even know I know it can be horse manure) but even for its standards, it's shocking these days. BBC Sport can be infuriatingly slow on match days.

Still can't beat DM Online for some hilarious tripe, gossip and scantily dressed women :D:o

What's even considered a good online new vendor these days?

BBC also has started a daily mail column of shame. It's not full of filth just yet, but it's full of clickbait...

I don't think there is a free, non nagware, non biased news website anymore, anywhere, and the more I think of it, the less I need the 'news' that trickle thru anyway..

These days I end up reading news.google.com, making sure not to click any of the 'stories' -- thats me sorted for 'news'.

I was thinking yesterday the BBC landing page looked more like a round up of the stuff doing the rounds on facebook, latest memes and associated rubbish rather than the more professional site it used to be.

Speaking of studies I heard someone did a study on spoons or forks in the workplace and why they go missing all the time, resulting in a minimum needed for every X employees to make sure there are always some in circulation. Never got round to checking if it's true :p

The one that gets me is pens (and other stationary) - no one ever puts them back, etc. they go "missing" at a massive rate. As someone who is meticulous about putting stuff back where I've borrowed it from etc. it drives me up the wall :P (obviously most of us have absent minded moments, etc. but that is another story).

Circulated cutlery is gross anyway, people not washing them properly etc, I bring my own :(

Same bring my own mug, etc. some people have horrifically lacking hygiene.

not been an issue for me, they go in the dishwasher and the cleaner unloads it later - no one else need be responsible for washing up

Same with my office but people leave that stuff on the side after they stir their coffee/tea. Not a huge issue if the surface wasn't always wet, stained and looked like a perfectly good place for bacteria to go wild.
