Now may be a good time to sell your GTX 980 Tis gentlemen.

How is it no one has said to themselves... hmm, GP100 used in two cards, one with HBM and one with GDDR5... hahahaahahaha.

To make something compatible with HBM it has to be able to be attached to an interposer, it needs a different design and a different memory controller. An architecture (Pascal/Polaris) can support both, but that only means they've made designs with different memory controllers. GP100 can't and won't be able to use either memory type. Nor can you possibly design a single chip to work needing 1TB/s of bandwidth with 6144 shaders and still work fine with only 15% or so less shaders and 50% less bandwidth.

If you're going to make something up at least give these chips variations, GP102 with gddr5 and 30% smaller.

One thing and then I'm out: op, you know the X stands for fill in the blank right...? Alright, two things... FAKE!

X also means 10 in Roman numerals. So Geforce X80 is a possibility.

It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue tho "GTX X80". Unless they drop the GTX part.

Can only hope they have 6000 odd cores and are indeed double performance :). I must then try to hold myself back from the urge to buy new stuff. I will give in.

Yeah... Can't wait for the XVIII80 Ti... It's not going to be X80.

GTX X80Ti sounds better than GTX 980Ti though! And if that data sheet is true.. I'm a little excited!

It's not. Can we now move away from these fake things? ;p

Why are people even discussing this? Even the WCCFTech article - if you scroll down - basically says the whole thing is made up and fake (title and upper part of article are just clickbait).
