According to French media reports, there were two explosions minutes apart just before 8am at Brussels Airport - one in the departures area and one on or near the runway, writes Angelique Chrisafis.

A false ceiling collapsed causing lots of dust and smoke.

The departures area had easy access to the public, but the runway area would have been closed to public access and raises questions about how the explosion could have happened there.

This is highly worrying...

Even so.
Even if no one brings it up, it reflects in the back of peoples mind.
It dosnt naturally follow, but people will assume the open refugee policy will be to blame for this, rather than the destablising war in iraq, and the subsequent arab spring.

People might vote to leave out of fear.

I hope there isnt more to follow. Airport and metro. Belgium.... Not the biggest warmongers are they?
Thoughts to all the innocents and their families.

At some point we are going to have to actually deal with isis, displace them, and end the caliphate. Won't help with the splinter cells and the world terrorism, but will help cut out their ease of recruiting, and their ease of funding.
The longer we take the harder it will be, but the caliphate needs to be ended, by displacing them from the land, when that happens that part of this mess is over.
