If Don would like to do up a poll. Thanks
1.R9 Nano + Freesync monitor for same price as 980Ti
2.980Ti
3.AMD all the way
4.Nvidia all the way

Yes I love AMD vs Nvidia stuff,so let look at real value and which one would have best gameplay. This is only one example and I am sure people could pick out many more, but if you had no preference which one would you really pick.

Total £509.98 - R9 Nano + Freesync monitor
R9 nano

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aoc-...descreen-led-monitor-black-red-mo-035-ao.html £119.99

Total £575.99
980Ti

The options make little sense, they're aimed at different performance/IQ levels.

I wouldn't buy a nano to use on a 75hz 1080p cheap monitor.

So your saying nano on a cheap monitor is not as good as a 980Ti. Come on man get real.

So you would not buy a nano but a 980Ti would be more to your liking.
20 to 60 FPS LOl so get of your high horse and just stop with the BS.

Here is a test I did in a few games with only 4xMSAA at 1920x1080. with 980Ti card overclocked high.On a cheap monitor.

Well I've done this already, I had a pair of 980's and wanted a acer 34" monitor.
It worked out that after selling my existing monitor I would need another £500 for the gsync version but selling the 980's and buying the Acer xr34 & fury tri x ment I only had to find £150 which kept the Mrs quiet.
Time will tell if I made the right choice but I'm happy enough with the xr34 & fury

Of course none of the above. Why would anyone buy less than a Titan X/Fury x these days. They must be poor and of lower class. What was I thinking.

No, as this close to Pascal and Polaris, I would be tempted by a 390 or 970. Your choices are not what I would be going for and makes very little sense to me. Not sure what your post was getting at either?

I am poor and of very low class.

I know my place and will stick to using my GTX 960, well maybe for the next 5 minutes anyway.

I'd go for the 970 with all those freebies along with a 1080 gsync monitor.

Remove the freebies and I'd get a 390 with equivalent free sync monitor.

Maybe the guy made the wrong decisions in what he put up as the options but what he was trying to say is still the same...

Would you rather spend more and get less or spend less and get more is pretty much what he is saying.

Top end AMD allows you to get a freesync monitor for the same price as top end nvidia card only.

If i had the money i would have got a 980Ti but my max budhet for a gpu was £200 so i ended up getting a 390 as the only other card i could buy was a 970 which i already had before sending it back.

Seems a bit crazy why buy a Nano and cheap monitor then post a 980ti next to it? most people who are spending 400-500 on a gfx card have the monitor they intend to use which is 1440p and above anyway not some cheap 1080p one?

Also would rather spend the extra on the 980ti than that bundle above if i had to and wasn't so close to GTC.

its an odd comparison, I would imagine most people already have a 1080p monitor, and as both of these cards should have no problems maintaining 60fps, freesync is of limited value, I certainly wouldn't trade one 1080p/60hz monitor for another that just has freesync

if anything the 980ti is more likely to maintain 60fps at much higher settings than the nano - I wouldn't get that 980ti though as there are much better options and even second hand for well under £500

even then, as we are only a week or so from GTC I would at least wait till april to see what if anything gets announced there

What part of my post suggested I was on a high horse?

As you can see others agree the options make little sense either.

No need to flip out because people have pointed a flaw out, jeez.

As we can see from the responses the questions just aren't really appropriate.

If anything, a discussion like this will only serve to Polarise things even more.

OP picks least expensive Nano but then a £575 980ti...

Im out . You can smell the bias from miles away.
