The IRA wasn't blowing people up in the name of Catholicism/ Christianity. There motives were political and stem back from the days of British oppression and the taking over of the Republic of Ireland and then later settling on just the annexing of Northern Ireland. I'm not justifying it, some of things they've done are horrid, but the people comparing IRA to Isis need to stop comparing apples to oranges.

That wasn't the point anyway, the point was that we (UK) lived under the threat of bombings for 25 years.
If you look at some of the early posters reaponses in this thread you would think that bombings is only a recent phenomenon and it's all the fault of the "Muslims"
Fact is that Islamic extremists have only had one successful bombing attack here in the UK and that was over 10 years ago.
People's perception of the danger we face seems to be massively exaggerated when compared to the reality of things, mainly due to increased anti Islamic retoric in certain news papers and also the instant 24/7 rolling news.
You've got more chance of being killed by a hornet or Bee sting than being killed by Islamic extremists in this country.
A poster pointed out in the Donald Trump thread that Americans have 30,000 firearm deaths a year and yet if you listen to Trump or Cruz they should all be worried about Muslim terror attacks.

If it's all anti Islam rhetoric being broadcast on the media that's giving Muslims a bad name, please post a list of terrorist attacks that have been carried out from other cultural/ religious groups that match that list in the link above (the 2015 onwards on that list is alarming). If you can do this you will demonstrate that it's the evil media's fault.

I worry that we seem to making the Muslim the new 'Jew' similar to what Nazi Germany did but in a much bugger scale.
Islam exploited the Dark Ages rather than caused it.
I am comfortable that the "Dark Ages" refers to a specific event, namely the volcanic winter of AD 535/536. Even today, we are only a harvest or so away from social collapse. 1500 years ago things would have been far more precarious and the consequence of two or more failed harvests in succession would have been devastating for northern Europe. Islam exploited this economic and social collapse to conquer most of Europe, territory that it mostly holds to this day (Classical Europe included all of north Africa, Egypt and much of the near east. The Crusades were not a unwarranted assault on the peaceful Muslim world any more than D-day was an unwarranted assault on the peaceful German Empire).
The "Dark Ages" was probably a contemporary name given as a result of two years without a Summer with greatly reduced levels of sunlight.
Yup, it wouldn't be the first time Europeans sat aside and allowed the media and individuals to demonized a minority community in their midst - we all know how that ended.
All this outrage for Brussels yet not a peep for ankara last week when Turkey suffered suicide bombers - human life seems worthless outside of europe and the US unless its to further an agenda (i.e. point fingers at others)

Exactly how many Bombings/Mass slaughters/Mass rape and enslavement/etc were carried out by Jews throughout Europe/the World during the 1930's in the name of Judaism??

Well - It is kinda comparable, considering that "Kristallnacht" happened a couple of days after Herschel Grynszpan (a Polish-Jewish refugee) shot the German diplomat Ernst vom Rath, in Paris, 1938.
Alternatively we identify with and care more about those people that are geographically closer and share a culture?
Not to mention quite a few of us have friends that work in Brussels and so are obviously concerned about them.
Feel free to complain about people using this tragedy to further a political agenda but realise you are doing exactly the same.

Those like Cameron that want to vote to stay in Europe are determined to destroy our country. Those that vote to leave are the true supporters of the UK. Everything else but our safety comes second to protecting our people
Why would they want to do that? staying in or out of Europe will not matter to Isis, not much will change in terms of border security either staying in or out.
Again with this worthless argument ? Come on now. Yes, Old Testament is also evil book filled with violence, like quran. But fortunately most christians these days ignore it in favour of New Testament. And pretty much no christians are going around massacring nonbelievers with AK47s and suicide vests.
The problem with these muslims is that they really believe killing a nonbeliever will ensure them a place in paradise, and who cares about this life if there is an eternal, much better one waiting for them, right ? Stupid Moro ns, them and everyone who supports them or apologises for them.

If we leave the EU I will be getting people together to make sure anyone entering the UK has to be screened , EG background checks and interviews before they can enter ! Everyone who comes to England will need to apply for a VISA
You would have thought that this would just be a commonsense approach for ANY country when people wish to arrive and live there tbh :/
