Problem is, decent IX's are north of £14k so you'd have to up your budget somewhat, or buy a car that may need a little bit of work.

Annoyingly, as technically speaking SMG is a manual gearbox most of them are listed as such.

It's an S2000. If you aren't driving it hard you're not driving it.
You don't buy a quick Honda under the impression that it's been driven to the shops and back daily. Same with an STI or any other fast car.
If you are looking at quick cars and not expecting the car to have been driven quickly.then why look at quick cars?

Yea exactly. Performance cars can handle being pushed hard (well most can, I wouldn't buy a thrashed Peugeot or Fiat 
). I doubt theres a single S2000, Impreza, etc that hasn't been red lined many times. They go on and on as long as they are maintained properly.

I wouldn't personally. It's a 13 year old car, and SMG is not cheap to fix.
