Why would i apologise for Nathan Matthews, his crime was not based on religion. and his crime was not a cry out against the western culture ?

The extremists are killing in the name of religion - The Muslim community , as a whole, has a responsibilty to distance themselves from these 'one-offs' and start accepting that this fictional war is only coming from their side.

I wouldn't give a **** if all religion disappered tommorrow - infact it would make things a lot bloody easier

Amazing how the same points are raised over and over again by people who have no real idea about Islam or the causes of the violence, whose position can be summarised as

"Dur Izlaam iz bad"

Sorry but the reality is that there are a number of issues that have resulted in increased terrorism, and religion - Islam - is only one part and for the most part it's easier for people to lay almost all of the blame on it. How can any of the issues be resolved if the causes are ignored?

And the less said about the "lets get rid of religion" brigade the better.

Of course there are a multitude of issues, social economic, political...it is a massively complex problem, full of corruption and hypocrisy. BUT young men (and women) are being recruited on the basis of a perverted religious ideology. And they are carrying out attacks on the basis of that perception. To deny that is dangerous.

I'm not quite sure of your background but I've studied Islam and religion a fair bit, and while I can see how these fools have been brainwashed my point has always been that it's not as simple as blaming Islam.

You might want to draw parallels between serving soldiers conducting missions and suicide bombers who specifically target civilians out of combat areas but for me the two are incomparable.
