Clocks Forward This Weekend (27.03.16)

Why? What's wrong with nice long evenings?
I'm just getting up in daylight now, I'll be going back to getting up in the dark and I'm normally in bed by 21:00. It means that in a few weeks, I'll be going to bed in daylight!

Plus, we invented time*, damnit. Why should we have to move our clocks. Set one time, the one that matches the prime meridian and stick with it.

Also, it shows up the idiots that don't understand the difference. For example, last year there was a shop which advertised via twitter and their web site: "flash sale starting at 8PM GMT tonight" in the middle of summer. That's wrong in two ways.

One of my hobbies is radio and contacts should be logged in GMT. When I receive confirmation cards and the lunatics have got the time an hour out because they don't know the difference drives me bonkers!

As you say not specifically true but we did nick the Prime Meridian from those Frenchies over the way so we should bloody well stick to it :mad: Many Bothan spies died getting us that Prime Meridian and we just **** all over their sacrifice because Farmer Jonny is scared of the dark :mad::mad:

My favourite time of year. More time to do things in the evening, work in the garden, meet friends outside. I leave for work early in the morning and have a 90 minute commute but I much prefer the lighter evenings.

Usual bunch of muppets on my FB feed are stating it's now and they go back even posting up a useful image and of course comments on said post are the usual "thanks almost forgot"

Oh how the world fails :sigh:

Just as I'm starting to wake up naturally at the right time for work, BST screws me up again by making it dark at alarm time for a few weeks. At least this time, I have Easter Monday as an extra day to not look like death warmed up at work after the shift!
