As its easter I thought id wire in around a Munchies egg. I don't eat chocolate that often so I was looking forward to it.

It tasted gash! What has happened to the chocolate of yesteryear?

We've discussed this a few times in work, and I keep getting told the biggest change is Age and your taste buds..

:)

Munchies use to be own by Rowntrees and got taken over by Nestle. Maybe they changed the recipe since?

My tastebuds seem to have changed a bit since i was younger. Bitter things are less bitter, chocolate tastes more sugary than deep and rich, gravy doesn't taste as good... still love gravy though.

Today I discovered the chocolate used on normal sized Creme eggs is totally different to the stuff used on the mini ones, my world has been turned upside down.

Cadbury's made a change last year, or year before where most products made with Dairy Milk are now made with a cheaper cocoa mix instead.

Apparently everyone wanted it, because it tasted better.

edit - lol, apparently they lost £6m in sales because of the change too. Serves them right.

All milk chocolate is solidified sugar with a dash of flavouring ( probably some extra sugar ! )

Get some 80%+ cocoa dark chocolate, sit back, enjoy :)

The only choc bar that hasn't been ruined is MARATHON ( not Snickers - stupid name ), they may have messed around with the sizes, but a MARATHON ( not Snickers - still a stupid name ) thats been in the fridge for a couple of days is a delight to consume

Serves the penny pinching morons right for trying to save money by ruining a classic. Hopefully they'll wise up and change it back.
