Asus Xonar DX2 and Soundblaster Titanium HD in same PC?

Hi guys.

I own both the Asus Xonar DX2 and the Titanium HD cards and have just bought a Audio Technica Turntable, currently I have the Asus sound card installed for gaming and the HD sitting on a shelf collecting dust. The Turntable plays reasonably well on the Asus but I have to feed it through the Microphone socket as the Line in does not seem to activate and it does have a bit of feedback buzz sound when no music is playing. This solution is not ideal though as it will cause me to constantly swap the wires round the back of the PC to use my mic port and plugging it into the speakers directly (Edifier S550) produces a very quite sound which is about half the volume.

So my question is can I use the Sound blaster in my pc at the same time to connect the Turntable up to? Will it be simple to operate like that or will I have issues with them clashing. I need to use the Asus for my games playing as it allows 5.1 analogue which are what my speakers are so I can't take that out.

Thanks in advance for any help or ponderings.

They should work fine together, you will just have to select the relevant input / output devices as needed.

Funny thing is that when I tried to install two Asus soundcard into the same system, they simply cannot co-exist due to how the Asus driver works lol

No surprise that two Xonar's didn't work together. I'd expect the same for Creative cards too, unless maybe they were from different series. I saw someone post that they got a Soundblaster Live! to work with an X-Fi, but upon replacing the SBL with an Audigy, it didn't want to know.

I used a Xonar and a X-Fi together for a time many years ago. I don't recall running into any difficulty.

Yea I think if one was to use two soundcard in the same system, mix vendors is probably the best bet.

Well could not wait until the next day so did it tonight when I got home from work, it sounds much better than before going through the RCA connectors on the Titanium HD. Very pleased bunny here. Cheers guys.
