After 74 years trying to decide on a monitor I think I'm pretty set on the Dell U2715H. I mainly want it for Lightroom use and photo editing. I will calibrate the panel. I have bought a Xbox One this week and from time to time like to play at my desk. Will the xbox look awful on this screen outputting at 1080?

Anyone used this for xbox?

Anything newer been announced I should wait for instead?

The interpolation (scaling) used by the U2715H to display Full HD is actually rather decent. You won't get the same sharpness and clarity as a 27" Full HD display, but the softening is not too bad. I think using games consoles as a secondary use for the monitor is absolutely fine and you'll still enjoy the experience. The Dell U2717D is going to be released shortly, but it won't bring any real advantages that I can see for your uses.

Got my monitor today won't name the place.

Flaw/dead pixels in the top corner, they are saying this is acceptable and won't replace. So can I return this under distance selling regs?

This is actually the top left side but it's been rotated...

"What are bright pixels?
A dead pixel refers to a pixel with a defect in its ability to display the correct color output. It may look like a tiny black or white spot on the screen. When the pixel remains permanently lit, it is known as a bright pixel.

However if this is an issue the long distance rules are 14 days but you will have to cover the return postage costs.
