Daily Star - Easter Eggs are banned

This just in, using Facebook or GD is a measure of one's IQ. Who'd have thought it.

It's a bit stupid to not identify a difference between FB and GD is it not?

It's others who are using the IQ argument not me.
And no, I don't see much difference, there are idiots posting idiotic stuff here more than they do on my Facebook.

And I won't go in to how many threads are created here from Facebook threads/posts.

True regarding the reposting of fb material to here. I think often that is because it's a talking point though... Like "hey look at this ridiculous thing going viral on fb" and I believe that is what many people take issue with - the sheer mob mentality that is often expressed. The knee jerking reaction to something completely untrue and the share+like+strongly worded comment to express my damming opinion so my friends see in the vain hope someone somewhere actually gives a flying **** what I think (attention whoring). That's the kind of stuff that grips my ****.

So I choose not to have to see all that by simply not having fb as otherwise there is no way of getting away from the crud. Forums like here though, I can pick and choose what I waste my time on. I have control over my content. I don't have stuff that is insignificant to me rammed down me along with a side helping of targeted advertising.

Sure there is: Pick who you're friends with, and anyone you 'have' to be friends with out of politeness, just unfollow them so you don't see whatever they post, share or like. Easy.

You have control over your FB friends...accept or deny

GD is open

So your argument is flawed.

I bet your FB feed is of old middle aged men playing pub gigs...:p

Thats funny as I choose not to see that and am on Facebook. Yet again it needs pointing out you have complete control over Facebook.
No sign of any such nonsense on my feed and can't remember the last time I did see such nonsense.

Something I've never done, in fact I've never deleted anybody off facebook.

Of course and the old middle aged couples who come to watch me.

That's why then...dull and broken by being in relationships they are to weak to move on from...

Listening to covers of dire straits

Thing is ...you don't have complete control over FB...

If you think this you are deluded...

I can explain in detail " the cost of free" but I can't be bothered.

Oh no, they have stuff I'm willing to share, which doesn't include address, phone, work etc.
If you put stuff on fb you dont want to share then your an idiot. The whole it's free thing is just nonsense.

Same with any internet stuff. It's mostly public domain.

You're not in control.
