Car vinyl

You, of all people, are not allowed to tell someone to leave their car alone :p

Fair comment considering the parts I bought and intended to fit to my Polo, but in my defence, I sold them without actually fitting them! :p

Besides, I would never do something as barry as vinyl wrapping a bonnet on a Corsa :p

I don't think he means to Barry it, but rather hide the rust Vauxhall under it :p

In which case, grinding out the rust and touching it up (optionally using some primer/filler goo as well) is the easiest, cheapest, and least rubbish looking option. :)

I'd just generally tidy it up a bit. Touch up stone chips, clean and and polish, bumper restorer on the black plastics to make it darker and shinier again, new non-EU numberplates without screw holes, partial de-badge of the rear (remove all but the Vauxhall badge, but definitely leave the Vauxhall badge!), plain black reduced length aerial.

Anything apart from that would be more costly, and not worth doing in my opinion. The above wouldn;t cost much, and would make a real difference if you take pride in your car. Theres no shame in taking pride in your car, it doesn't have to be a supercar for that!

What I would avoid doing however, is anything more major. Aftermarket wheels, suspension, and so on, will be very costly unless you buy bad quality parts, and would increase your insurance costs and potentially make the car less sale-able.

The only 'larger' change I might be tempted to make, is to replace the wheels with genuine Vauxhall Corsa C alloy wheels if you find some cheap on eBay, but bear in mind the possible implications, such as potentially different tyre size/increased tyre cost.

Agreed. Either way something needs to be done about the rust.

**** it, deep dish green steels, stretched tyres, illegal tints, wrapped bonnet, plastidipped body, "low n' slow" stickers on every panel, bangin' stereo, illegal ebay HID's, spacers, FK coilovers wound all the way down, purple tow strap, back seats removed, mini fridge fitted, TV's in the headrests, baked bean can exhaust tip, take all the badges off, ***** gearstick, one bucket seat for the driver, LED's everywhere, neons, halfords rear lights, evo skirts superglued on, stick on vents, table sized spoiler, ebay DRL's, cheap air filter cone cable tied on, stickerbombed interior trim, remove mirrors for weight savings, adhesive chequered tiles in the roof lining, purple dyed carpets, loads of air fresheners all over the place, empty beer cans in the footwell, drugs in the door pockets, cancel your insurance policy, don't bother taxing or MOT'ing it, try and rack up as many points as you can (high score!), and run from the police if they try and stop you because you have the fastest car in the world.

Something pent up there Acme?

Thought I may as well go the full hog with a pimp-my-ride style traffic-cops nightmare, since people have now legitimately started recommending wacky vinyl films and plastidip. :p

Drop it on some rota grids, wrap it in carbon fiber wrap and be the proud owner of a car all 15 year old girls want to be in the back of..

But in seriousness it looks nice as is. Best you can do is take good care of her and polish her up nicely. My first car the max i spent on her was a set of seat covers as the interior was nasty.

As said, just look after it.

Acme you remind me of a lad I know who is so easily influenced and then magically becomes super judgemental and posts in every thread force-feeding his new found opinions, pushed on to him by chosen peer pressure :D Shhh a bit lad!

Buy the material and do it yourself. A Bonnet is pretty easy to do since its mostly flat and you don't have to take it off. Still a 2 man job though.

To avoid looking like a Barry, I'd go with something fun/original. What about chalkboard vinyl, then you can colour it in http://artcarcentral.com/12-chalkboard-art-cars-to-draw-for/ :D

I really like that look. Plus a park and tub of chalk.... keep my kids busy for days.
