Hello, I recently changed cases to a NZXT H440 and stuck a 212 evo on my 3570k at stock clocks. Looking on coretemp, it's idling on around 36c on all cores and on full load using prime95 my max temps are core0 54c, core1 57c, core2 58c, core3 58c. Do them temps seem okay? I was hoping I'd be able to overclock it to 4.4ish but that would give me temps of over 70c. Cheers.

To make you feel a little more at ease. I have a H100i currently on my 3770K @ 4.5 and 1.23volts. Temps equalise at 78deg. Still plenty of headroom TJ Max is 105deg. Ran this cpu @ 4.5 since purchase in 2012 and its rock solid.

I remember seeing an oc3d video at the time showing how ivy-bridge cpus respond to even the faintest sniff of added voltage. You just need to keep an eye on temps if you are planning overclocks as temps will get up there pretty quickly if stress testing. Once you no where you are with limits though, it will go on like a faithful old dog for many years.lol

This has helped cheers. Been googling around and most sites I've seen make out if you go above 70 your cpu will be dead within a week haha.

Another H440 (New Edition) owner here with a 3570k, i have mine sitting at 4.0Ghz with 1.05v. Cooled by an Antec Khuler 620 and 1 Corsair 120SP high performance fan in pull configuration, GPU is a Nano. Idle temps are around 35c with Prime topping out at 64c. That's with standard gigabyte PWM profile on motherboard, max fan speed 1658.
