A friend is looking to spend £900 on a new gaming pc.

I've been out of the loop spec wise for a while so not sure what's good value etc.

Needs everything apart from Hard drives and O/S and peripherals.

Any suggestions?

Hard drive wise he's good - a cheapish SSD would be an advantage but could be bought in a month or too so not need at.

That RAM comes with free shipping which makes it worthwhile in any spec if your mate doesn't have free shipping.

CPU cooler clearance for the Corsair Spec 01 is 150mm, and the EVGA cooler is 152mm but I think it would be alright.
