Car vinyl

And to those saying don't waste money, its the guy's first car. He's talking about a hundred notes or so, not a redtop conversion. If the guy want to spend a bit of dosh on his first ride, why not? Enjoy it and screw what everyone else says :)

I agree a red top would be a waste. Put a let inside instead :D

Thank you for all advice. I think I will just try to fix all stone chips and some scratches with touch up paint. Then I will wax+polish the car. I think you guys are right there is no need to go crazy as car looks good as it is. I will be looking for some 2nd hand 15" vauxhall alloys as I got brand new tires last month. Any tips on fixing chips from stones and scratches as there are few on the back bumper form previous owner. I cant complain as for 800 corsa 2004 pounds 38k mileage and only clutch to replace it was quiet good deal

The bonnet is quiet rusty on edges. However surprisingly I looked everywhere, even under the and there is no rust just on the bonnet edges.

I got these two 6/9 speakers (pioneer ts-a6958) for £4 on car-boot sale and I just couldn't resist it. I checked them and the work and sound way better than my car ones when I hooked them into my sony cinema blu ray head unit at home. Therefore Im working on a MDF shelf covered with some foam for the back I got it almost done (luckily my dad is a carpenter and I got some MDF from him so I only purchase foam for 6 pounds). Will post some images tomorrow. Im quiet curious how these speakers going to sound.

In addition got new stereo 40 pounds Pioneer deh-1800ub. Any recommendation on front speakers for max 60 pounds? I was also thinking about covering around radio and controls etc in silver carbon fibre or another colour. What do you guys think? Here it's a pic from inside.

Lastly sorry for poor quality images as they are taken from my phone

I would grind out as much of that corrosion as I could, put some grey primer on it then leave it forever more - you'll never see it!

The paint has probably been damaged at some point and let moisture in, that's nothing tbh

If you really, really want to mess with the interior the likes of plastidip as mentioned above can be quite good. It comes in various colours and is easy to apply / remove etc.

Personally I'd sort out the likes of that tatty gear gaiter if you must start spending money on the thing

Grind off the rust at the edges and touch it up silver I would, if it is only the edges it wont look bad at all! :)

Or even just grey primer as mentioned above. Have a couple of panels on my car where the edges have grey primer. I plan on getting it smart repaired at some point, but it isn't too noticeable. Will be less noticeable on silver.

Just to make everyone aware, wrapping the car or spraying it with plastidip is not going to magically make stone chips disappear.

If anything its more important that the surface is clean/smooth as possible...

I've moved on from the bonnet, which is a nothing issue on a car like this and am now onto interior gubbins

Little update on my custom made shelf. What do you guys think? Speakers sound better than stock but still not quiet as I prefer. Need to play with EQ.

Any ideas on good front speakers? I was thinking about component but not really sure which one or maybe should I go for coaxial?

Either do the whole car or not at all. If you do the whole car go with a colour you might paint it so it looks kinda stock. Parcel shelf looks tidy enough.
