Shocking news is shocking.

Infinity Ward announced on Twitter they are working on CoD 2016.

Not going to lie, I'm worried about this big time, what with Rubin leaving and the MP guy going from Respawn to IW then back again has me worrying.

Hmm,be nice to be sceptical about this one but not sure, they've had 2 years for this one so in all fairness there should be no excuse for it to be pants.Ghosts was ok...ish.I haven't really spent much time on them since mw2.Cod is still selling like hot cakes so it's bound to do well, hopefully they'll add cod 4 in with it.

I brought the Black ops 3 not played for about 5 years until now and i can honestly say what a pile of crap, i give it time played a lot of hours but today i had to uninstall this crap from my pc.

The game is a complete ****ing mess , enemys spawn behind you, hit detection all over the place ,update after update changing game from playable to unplayable every other week.

i wish people would stand up and teach these bloody devs to fix this games before they come out, what am i doing ranting bye lol

Black Ops 3 is fine for me, never had an issue with the spawning or hit detection (noobness).

I feel removing the jumping now would be hard to go back to. It adds a great dimension to it.

I very much doubt I'll buy this on the day of release. Too many other shooters will be around - BF5, Gears 4, TF 2 - for me to need another shooter.
I'm also sceptical. IW have release 2 mediocre games in a row. And with the guy(Todd Alderman) that left Respawn to join IW and leave after just 4 months, it sounds serious warning bells to me.

I hadn't played a COD game for quite a few years until I picked up Black Ops 3 the other week. I was very skeptical about the jumping and movement, etc. but I have to agree with you - although it can be annoying at times it does create a new dimension to the game which makes it feel a bit fresher. I'm enjoying it.

Honestly I'd take Ghosts 2 any time over this years Blops 2. I wonder if the COD series will ever go back to no jumping and wall running... I hope so!

Bops 3 is the best CoD since MW3, which was rubbish compared to MW2.

We won't get another like MW2 but at least the jumping and wall running is much better now. I agree that it would be hard to go back to without it, it really has added to BO3. It was just AW that was poor with it.

Seems like CoD is going into the very distant future.....

NeoGAF:

Eggbok: Wasn’t Ghosts already sorta futuristic though? Not to the level of Black Ops 3 and Advanced Warfare but still there.

shinobi602: This makes Black Ops 3 feel like the stone age. Metaphorically of course.

El_Chino: Are we talking Battlefield 2142 style?

shinobi602: Very far future. Space combat. Full on sci-fi.

If it's not a "boots on the ground" cod (unlikely) I won't be getting it. I can imagine a point where you will buy a base game where there will be 3 maps maybe and a few guns, and everything else is a micro transaction.

I'm not buying it, I will be going the Battlefield route this year.

Screw Activision.
