Explosion at Swedish airport

Has anyone blamed the Muslims yet? Because I don't want to be the first, but I will if I have to...

This sort of ignorance is exactly why all this is happening, you let a cancer spread without trying to find a way to slow it down it WILL eventually kill you

The world needs to stop being so politically correct and face the fact these bearded braindeads are actually winning

For the next couple decades, we can look forward to this being a routine occurence, unless european politicans grow some balls and crack down on all salafists/wahhabists in their countries.

I just hope central/eastern european countries stay islam-free.

How does this differ from the previous decades of living under threat from the IRA? Or Europe from other terrorist, separatist groups? What did these have to do with salafists/wahhabists/islam?

It surprises me to see the number of folk on OCUK that live their lives in fear, hatred and bigotry.

that's what happens when people can't get those last few ghz out from their overclocks. Didn't Yoda say that slow speeds lead a fear of having a small e-weiner, that fear then leads to anger...and hate

The chance of getting caught up in a terror attack is negligible, it is rather unlikely that most people are fearful of it or even give it much thought day to day.

Disliking the ideology behind Islamic terror attacks doesn't mean you have to hate anyone in general (aside from the ideology).

Yep. Please show me where you got the info from that this was a terrorist attack conducted by islamists.

Nowhere, thankfully this was not (apparently) terrorist attack conducted by islamists.

Oh, so when you said 'Central and Eeast European countries' you actually meant... 'Central and East European countries.' I see.

The countries you've listed all have Muslim populations. Small ones, true. But they are still there.

Yes, thankfully very tiny. My country is 80+% atheist. In many muslim countries, atheism is punished by death. When I read Koran, it struck me how on the very second page, it wastes no time with condemning nonbelievers to a great punishment. All this tells me islam is quite incompatible with atheist/agnostic/secular society.

I do not live in UK, so I do not know much about IRA. From what I do know, their goals were political, not religious. Their goal was not indiscriminate murder of civilians for murder's sake, was it ? I am not excusing it though, any murder of civilians is unforgivable evil crime, political reasons or not.

If this was addressed to me, then the point is that I live my life in peace - there has been no terrorist attack in my country in decades - and I want it to stay that way.

The chance of getting caught up in it is negligible (so far), until it isn't. I was at Brussels airport where the attacks happened two weeks earlier because of a business trip. So it was quite chilling to see those events happening. Another guy from my country only survived that attack because he went for a smoke (there was an interview with him in local newspaper).

And disliking ideology while loving people spouting that ideology is kinda nonsensical, by the way.

Who said you had to love them either?

I can empathize with say a young Palestinian suicide bomber who doesn't know any different, has limited awareness of the outside world has had his views of say Israel shaped from a young age(not to mention some legitimate grievances there) and has been brainwashed into believing all the Islamic nonsense from a young age too. I can still dislike the ideology and think Islam(in most forms) is basically cancer without hating the people.

Fair enough, I don't really disagree. I do have a hard time empathizing with someone who blows up other people up (civilians in particular) though, I admit, brainwashed or not.

Big difference between empathising and sympathising when talking about things like this.
