Having a baby this weekend, spec me some time killers

It's not that long. Don't think she'll let you chill when contractions kick in.

Labour was about 20/21 hours for us, you won't have much time to do what you want during the labour process and 2 years on not much has changed in that regard! Wouldn't change a thing though....prepare to have your mind blown

No suggestions, but my wife is now 5 days overdue and counting - 2nd baby. The first one arrived on his due date and took less than 10 hours - most of it at home. If it doesn't happen in the next week or so she'll be induced a week tomorrow - so could be in a similar situation. I'm pretty sure you'll forget about the waiting once it arrives - due to lack of sleep, constant nappies/washing - but mainly cos they do change your life - for the better!

Glad to hear it. I'm ready for the exhaustion and gross nappies. Looking forwards to meet the new member of the family.

Good luck with yours!

We had ours this morning via elective c-section. We were on the ward last week for nearly a week due to position issues so I took in my laptop loaded with US TV shows. As we had a private room we watched away without any sound issues but this would be a problem if you're in a bay with other beds.

Sleep. It will be the last you get for 4 years..

Was going to post this :p

Pretty sure if you're sat there reading a book/playing on a laptop while she's going through "the process" you're suddenly going to find yourself with a lot of free time (and no GF! :p)

Nappies don't get gross until they go onto solids, then you might as well be wiping another adults butt right under your nose.

Went through this last May with the missus, went in to be induced on the Friday night, wasn't induced till the Saturday at tea time and ended up being in labour for 18 hours before an emergency c section on Sunday lunch time.... I played with the iPad while we waited to be induced, played ftl on iPad.

If it's anything like us when you're waiting you'll be on a ward so it's not really conducive to be watching something on the iPad laptop as its unfair on others in the room imo, and your missus won't like you sitting there with headphones on. If I could go back to that point id just try to sleep, I miss sleep :( all worth it in the end though :D

Good luck bud
