Is this North Face jacket acceptable for office work?

Who cares? You take it off when you get in and hang it up. As long as it's not a poncho with "INSERT HORSE PENIS HERE" printed on it in massive letters with an arrow pointing to your sphincter it's unlikely to be an issue.

I wouldn't wear that in the office. I do wear a North Face jacket in sometimes, but it's the below, which is a bit more discrete. ;)

Yeah, I wouldn't be wearing it around the office. Perhaps I could go for a darker navy variant

Hang on, I missed this, my word.

Overclockers UK Forums > Life > General Discussion > Is this North Face jacket acceptable for office work WHEN I AM NOT EVEN IN THE OFFICE, ARE THEY WATCHING ME RIGHT NOW?

So you're not sure if wearing a raincoat during British spring time is acceptable? This has to be a joke thread, you can't have enough common sense to have a job that involves an office! :p

It's a rain jacket, far more suitable for British spring time than those heavy tweed style jackets some people insist on wearing.

Why not look for a coaches jacket.
Carhartt, raised by wolves, the hundreds all have nice ones this season which are smart and could be work with suit trousers for a casual office.

Wearing a north face in the office will make you look like a geography teacher

I wear whatever jacket I like in and out. Heck, people wear cycling stuff in and out.
Only you know your environment

Why does your job dictate what you wear when you travel to and from it?

Exactly !

Lots of people wear trainers to and from work but has work shoes kept at the desk to change.

The jackets doesn't matter, you just take it off when you get in, and with a shirt underneath.

I wear a sailing jacket in and out the office, even put trainers on with my shirt and trousers if I am walking to lunch.

I always wear a smart jacket if I am meeting with new clients or if there is a need for good first impressions but for every day life, wear what is comfortable.
