Gym advert targetting fat people is offensive

Yet more people getting offended that being fat isn't admired and welcomed in our society. As I've become a grumpy old man I just can't believe how our society has turned out. I'm not saying that being picked on due to size is right. It certainly isn't. But most fat people (men and women) are larger by choice. It's their choice not to do something about it. Yes I appreciate there are a small number of people with medical issues. But as demonstrated by some ver y motivated peopl eon this very forum, if you want to lose weigh it just takes will power and a lifestyle change.

Fat people are asking to be admired? I think Fat people are unhappy at being singled out with this derogatory method of advertising.

It's tongue in cheek but it's clearly going to upset a minority.

All the fat people pretending they don't care. All the fat people pretending they are not fat and being secretly upset. All the social retards with immense anger issues that are actively "possibly really" upset about other people and the best the "reformed" fat people that now feel they have earned the right to be a **** too, even though they can empathise 100%:P OCUK is a really weird place where you can openly insult people in one way but in another way you get suspended or banned. Well done ! Really .... Odd! Cue a witty fat joke by one of the above! Oh and the armchair psychologists. They are the worst.

Love the way they grunt and spit in the showers and then dry their feet with a hair dryer. Luckily for the more discerning gym user these and the other retards who keep breaking the weights will be moving from my place to the newly opening Fit4Less five hundred yards down the road..

Then there's the other group of people who choose to be offended. Seems to be a 21st century thing only.

The problem is they all claim to have this mysterious medical condition. Luckily it's quite easy to spot, they usually have trouble keeping their feet out the cake shop.

Can you back this "they all claim to have a medical condition" or is it just crap that you spout ? All overweight people eat cake ? :rolleyes: Although it was more joke than fact, it's just not funny. Surprised you didn't say pie shop tbh.

Yeah, I'm a fatty, been going to the gym for five weeks funnily enough and lost 1st, 2lbs. I don't find the ad offensive but I take exception to people who take cheap shots without backing it up with facts.
