Does anyone else use MSI Afterburner 4.2.0 and on startup fans sounds like they spin to 100% then calm down again?

I have set a custom aggressive fan curve but im sure this never used to happen

I have this randomly with my SLI 580's although it just seems to be the top card that starts at full whack (EVGA) the bottom card (Asus direct CuII) seems to run at idle, once running GTA V you then hear the bottom card spool up, they both sound very different to each other.

I use afterburner and had this issue only since adding the second card (the EVGA one) when I went SLI last year....

When you say from startup, do you mean at boot time - i.e. before windows?

No, it will boot, I login and application start and when Afterburner starts the fans pump up to 100% then return to normal speeds.

It doesn't seem to happen when I reboot though, only from turning on

My Evga does this its changing from the default fan profile set on the card to the one you've set on the software.

Its just going from 0db mode to full fan then back down.

I have jsut posted this in another thread but im using this fan profile (below)

Strangely it didnt do it this morning
